I don’t know what he sends with his plates, but Screwd security bolts are a good choice.

Edit: I’d also suggest security dome washers as well to prevent grinding off bolt heads. Something like Barnes 4wd.

I have the TRD Pro skid plate which is a pain in the butt....it would take a skilled mechanic with an extended flex head wrench to hold the top nut and remove the rear TRD Pro skid plate bolts. I was lucky that I have a lot of speciality tools or I would have never been able to hold that top nut. The rest of the bolts are standard Allen heads but grabbing the nuts is still difficult.

If the thieves have lots of tools and an hour or two, then I'm sure they can remove the plates but I'm not too worried about that. I guess the bottom line is the TRD Pro skid plate is like a security device against removal.

I don’t know about “going back” to pentagon bolts, but many do use pentagon bolts because Valhalla sells them with the plates. I went with Screwd bolts with dome washers because I feel they are more secure than pentagon bolts. However pentagon bolts are a good option as well.

Which do y'all think provides better coverage? Valhalla/Talon's, Cat Security "Ultimate"? I want aluminum to keep rust away.

    Who made this one @texasrho83?

Y'all are over-thinking the security bolts. Just use a standard 10mm.

Don't think so man. There already has been at least one reported instance of thieves unbolting plates with standard bolts. Security bolts prevents the ease of this.

I put my RCI cat guards on today. They need to resign the rear guards to cover better. 32E86241-587A-49EF-B860-867C7B6D3181.jpg

I like that one, but the $250 shipping on top of the $500 shield sucks. Especially since I'm one state north right off i5.

I think I saw this before. His design is killing his shipping. I like it the most out of all of them available but he really needs to make this a modular kit. You have something heavy to start, and then he's adding length and thickness on top of that (giggity). Make the sides and back bolt or weld on, make it two plates, stack it and ship it flat and it would cost a lot less. Remove the Tundra logo. He's wasting time and money to advertise for Toyota for free, and unless you get in a rollover accident, only you, your mechanic and some random tweaker are the only ones who will ever see it.

No can do. I refuse to go to California anymore. That state is infected by a plague and I want to provide as little life support as possible.

Can you shoot me the nut sizes and domes? Sounds like Talon uses 2 sizes and Valhalla uses 4 sizes...very confusing.
