I run the BDS recoil bars, expensive but very solid product. No regrets.

I think 0.8 degree working angle on the TC is perfect, I wouldn't mess with it. You don't want u-joints exactly at 0 degrees because it will not lubricate the joints properly.

The working angle on the diff is overclocked at 6 degrees vs 4 degrees at the CB. Should get a leaf spring shim between 1.5-2.5 degrees and put it on so that the thicker edge of the shim is facing the rear of the truck. This will increase the angle at the diff and bring your diff working angle down closer to 4 degrees - the 0 degree not lubricating the joints still applies here so you don't want them both exactly at 4 degrees. $.02

I wonder what the driveshaft RPM relates to in speed on our trucks
Unfortunately, the bigger the lift the bigger the op angles. Would have to increase the angle at the TC - probably not going to get much out of that.

If you divide the engine RPM by the trans ratio (then the t-case ratio, but that's 1:1) then you get the drive shaft RPM

Are new spring packs needed with these and if so, wouldn't they take care of the axle wrap issue? This truck wont be seeing any taxing environments.

Since playing with the CB spacing is easy enough I'll probably try adjusting it a little more and recheck the angles. Wanted to avoid having to shim the leafs. Seems like as long as there's 0.5 deg working angle at tcase it should be good.

No, new springs are not required. I did replace mine with Dobinson's 5+2 HD packs because I haul heavy loads at times. Made sense for me to do it all one time for a long time.

    Sounds like a plan!
