Why am I just seeing this now!? Ordering!!
Has anyone tried out the Beta? Are there more options ? The beeps opening/closing the doors if it is still running are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying. Especially when dropping the kids off

After you fix-adjusted all the settings what do you do with the devise after? Sell it?

You can use the Bluetooth device to read codes on any vehicle with obd2, free with many apps. I like torque app for that.

Is consensus that Carista is the way to go without buying something the pros use to hook up to the car? Any other close alternatives?

You can just ask dealership to make this adjustment for you during oil change at no cost. I had the fake engine sound removed and blinker adjusted from 3 to 5 times. I read all of the carista available features and didn't quite find anything else that I must change to justify buying it

I can just use the device with free month subscription, disable engine noise, seat belt alarm, etc, then that's it? Don't need to renew subscription to keep the settings?

That's correct. Done it two days ago. I don't think the engine noise is trying to simulate a V8. Mine sounded the same to me only a lot softer or less rumble. My crappy local service manager told me it was $135 to do this and had no idea what the engine noise thing was, never heard of such.

Has anyone had this issue? I’ve got the DC Limited with JBL (‘22) and when using the Carista earlier, I don’t have any option come up for changing the fake engine noise. I think it’s within the “chassis” setting which is not an option for me. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it mean I don’t have the piped-in noise? Thanks for your help, all!

The DC's don't have it, it's a CM with JBL premium that do... I too have a DC Limited with JBL premium and don't have the SES...

Just ordered mine, turns out it fixes an issue my wife has with her car (infotainment should turn off when ignition goes off).

If anyone is in the Central Florida area send me a DM and we can coordinate a meet when it comes in.

Wait, you can set it to keep the radio on when you shut of the vehicle? Oooooo, I miss that from all of my other vehicles.

My wife has an Altima and hates that the infotainment system stays on, so I'm going to fix her problem. Didn't see the same option for Tundras in the "sample" settings, but will review/share when it gets here.

I just bought a month subscription of the Carista app from the Google Play Store and it linked to the Bluetooth generic ELM327 ODB2 adapter I already had, no problem.

Much cheaper at only $10 since I didn't have to buy the whole kit that also includes the adapter.

Of course I can't guarantee it will link to all ELM327 adapters but if you already have one, may be worth a try.

Now I just wish they would add the remaining adjustable settings that the 2023 offers that aren't yet in the app.

Good to know. I already have an ELM 327 adapter. This will save me some money. Gonna give it a whirl on my next days off.

I have a generic wifi odb2 adapter. Carista connected and then gave me the options of what I could change. But to change its when it asked for money. To my surprise they had a 7 day free trial which is what I used. So try to see if it connects.

Just used the Carista. Appreciate all the information......very simple to use.

I did turn off the Sound Enhancement and was like why did I wait so long? Made a few other changes as well. Simple and easy to use.

I have the XTool A30M that will do all this stuff and probably a lot more like ABS bleeding, new key programming, etc., but then it costs more. Has free lifetime updates and does not require a subscription. XTool also makes stand alone devices that cost significantly more but are really nice. D7 and D8.

I am temporaly in Atlanta if someone wants to use the Carista module and can use my trial subscription as well for your truck. Doesn't appear to be tied to Vin but if it is can still use the Carista dongle. In Atlanta , except next weekend til about end Feb.

I'm in Central Florida if anyone wants to meet up to make changes
