Cargo Lights with Reverse Lights

I was wondering if anyone has done this, Making it so the cargo lights come on with the reverse lights. Just thinking if the lights are up higher = better visibility. Lighting up the entire back of the truck and beyond with current reverse lights, without cutting the bumper for lights, I like the look of stock.

I've turned on my cargo lights to see if they help when backing up...they don't really add any usable light. And I upgraded to LED bulbs in the cargo lights which are very bright. Probably not worth the effort

How long was the harness to run to the battery?

I’ve got a 16 CM and want to run a harness to the battery with an aux switch in the cab.
