Hey guys! So I'm a huge carbon fiber fan. To a simple pleasing look not over done ha ha

So I have been wanted to spruce up the interior a bit so I started small to see how it would look and very happy with it.

Nice touch, really like the contrast above the glove box.

Did mine the first week. Couldn't stand to look at that ugly fake wood any longer.
Also did the door handles, door pillars, tundra inlays on the tailgate and badges, Also put some on the kick plates. Very easy to do.

Looks good man. How did you do it? That looks like something i might like to do. I was looking to do something to help protect the other plastic parts at the bottom of the doors from the kids feet.

Very easy just time consuming if your OCD like me lol

Just cut vinyl wrap a little bigger than piece you wanna wrap, then I used my lovely wife blow drier to form vinyl to piece smooth with a credit card to get rid of bubbles, my friend used soap n water takes a bit longer but get same results. I just ordered more carbon wrap from Amazon I'll do another post after !

The piece above the glove box did you remove that and wrap around it or did you just go to the edges and cut it? Thanks

Another bit of advise when using any vinyl wrap is to only use the highest quality 3M brand wrap.

Off topic here, but related to 3M wrap... When I was younger and in college I worked at Michael Waltrip's shop - good times :homer: , we had a couple guys come in to wrap the transporter (18-wheeler dressed up inside worth like $500K) and they wrapped one whole side of this thing with a base color (light brown) and it was 3 different shades - FAIL :frusty:. They had to rip it all off, get another batch of wrap made and all start over.

Anyway, don't use the cheap stuff.

Wow man thats bad ass, so do it up now.
    Where did you get it?
    how much $ ?
    how long of a job?
    what would you do different?

I have been looking at the wraps at autozone for awhile. I want to do the trim around the radio badly.

Vinyl wraps are very easy to do, and inexpensive. Look at a few YouTube videos on how to do it before you give it a try. Start with a clean surface and it's pretty hard to screw it up.

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
That carbon fiber wrap does look nice.

I went with a different approach. They make many textures, and I got one that matches the stuff on each side of the head unit. 3M calls it "brushed Steel" I believe. My goal was to eliminate all the chrome. Started with the cup holder surround. I even wrapped the round AC bezels and the Toyota horn emblem. Oriented the grain up and down like the factory stuff. Sure is a nice improvement!

I've had mine on for about two months so far with no issues but I also don't really have it on any area's that get touched at all.
