Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
My guess is that CF driveshaft mod would increase your MPG about the same as the JC Whitney fuel line magnet mod.

Unfortunately no real numbers yet. The owner of the company who's been an engineer for 22 years said the following when I asked "Let’s just compare another scenario from my past and say 1-2mpg.

I had a truck with a steel shaft in it years ago and went to an aluminum one. I definitely noticed the truck spun up easier and definitely noticed a little better mileage."

So the possibility of similar or greater fuel economy is achievable. Quick numbers, based off of the national average for premium since those interested are Supercharged like myself. If you gained / saved an extra 2 gallons of gas filling up once a week your looking at $453.33/ year. So if we get a break on price from a group buy, you could see a return on investment after 5 years once it pays for itself.

I'm waiting to hear from the customer and see if he has it installed and has seen his mileage/ total mileage per tank change.

Also those interested, please provide the following specs.
    Current power/torque. Dyno if possible
    Current gears
    Tire size

This way the owner can see if he can reduce the cost by using a different sized tube that'll be good for over 7200 rpm vs the original spec'd shaft in the first post.

    Thanks.

The object was not for fuel economy , but rather strength and safety due to having around 800whp as the customer stated. It could be an added benefit.

Yes, but he needs the pure, unadulterated carbon.

I think that's a Marine thing. Run out of ammo, drop trousers, bend over, and fire the backup missiles. GD killing machines!

But really guys come on lets get back to the topic at hand here or you move on down the road....we need to get a "group" buy together for a $2600.00 drive shaft that is ideal for about 0.01% of Tundra Owners out there.....

New here. This carbon shaft is for my build. The reply’s are comical and I enjoyed myself reading through them. I understand this may be a rare item of need in these forums. However, this is also an opportunity for those that may have a use for such a product that would feel more comfortable knowing that their stock driveshaft rated for factory power isn’t going to come apart at 140mph throwing them off the track and into a roll. Anyone cranking up the boost and fully built 3URs could benefit from this.

I’ve learned over the years that if everybody says I don’t need that or I don’t want that, then there is no demand for innovation, parts, R&D or engineering for these manufactures to support our platform. With that showing of no interest, those that do want to modify their trucks miss out severely. Bottom line is, you don’t have to need a product to appreciate its purpose.
