I think MSRP on the 2021 SR5 TRD OR was more than that, wasn't it?

If the tech package is the one with the big screen, I'll pass on that.

From what I’ve seen the off-road package is $3900 more on the limited but on $2050 more on SR5.

You'd think it would be the opposite of anything due to the Limited starting with more features. Unless the packages themselves are different on each trim.

I think depends. The US seems to have a TRD OR and TRD Tech package? Like your previous post, the US seems to have more options and packages than we do.

I could have sworn MSRP on my SR5 with only the Upgrade Package was $53k but maybe that's with fees and taxes.

Yeah, they are. I haven't seen anything for CAD pricing yet. On the SR5 crew max, you gotta get the advanced offroad tech package for $3K to get the larger fuel tank and the trailering stuff, and the TRD offroad package for 4K for the MTS, crawl control and good power seats.

$45K bas + $7K options = $52K USD. Nearly touching $65,000 CAD with a straight conversion before taxes, fees etc. That's pretty well HD truck pricing.

There is no point to compare US and Canadian pricing because the contents per trim are different in the two countries. We also don’t get individual factory options.

This is (unfortunately) true. I was asking my dealer if there was an option to add the so-called Advanced package that contains the HUD, AVS, and air suspension to the Platinum and they said that there was no info for them re that package and it was not included on the Canadian Spec sheet. He basically said that unless Toyota Canada specially says it, then it won’t be available up here.

Toyota Canada probably figures these trucks are going to sell well anyway, they’d rather keep the trims simple instead of tailoring to the needs of the customers.

We also get less choices in colors, if you want a grey interior on the Limited, you can only have blueprint or black exterior. I have definitely seen red on grey on US Limited.

If I end up retiring on a spot with water access....I'll grab an aluminum fishing boat.

Right now, I just don't have the time or space to store it.

Its so weird and disappointing Canadians have less options for adding ala-cart’ Upgrades.
    I wonder why that is.

Not much different than any other Corporation
Sears Had way more cool Craftsman tools back in the day.Same as Home depot now.

Pretty sure the HUD is standard on the Platinum in Canada. It was when I got the initial Canadian spec sheet from a dealer about a month ago. Not sure about what package air suspension comes with or if it is a la carte.

Actually yes, now that you mention that I do remember this in the spec sheet. Let me see if I can find.

Sounds like Toyota is no different than Nissan when it comes to limiting package/option choices in their trucks in Canada vs the USA. When I was buying my 2017 Nissan Titan SV 4x4, I had the choice of one package - Premium for $7k whereas US Titans the packages were broken down more finely

Our market is so small compared to the US, it’s like a small restaurant, when the customers are all hungry, there is simply no need to offer too many choices on the menu.

Afternoon all, My first post. I love that there is a Canadian pricing topic. I'm a current Tacoma owner with a "deposit" down on a new tundra. Can't wait until the prices come out. From what my dealer has told me I should expect my truck around mid January.

You have to be careful if your going hybrid and that it suits your driving style. If you tend to use your truck on long highway trips then you will see no increase in fuel economy. It your using your truck in the city in stop and go traffic then the hybrid will have a significant advantage mpg wise.

I thought this system worked slightly differently than Toyota's typical hybrid vehicle because the hybrid motor is sandwiched in line between the ICE and the transmission. Therefore, I assumed it would get even slightly better mileage in every situation.
