the brochure both in french and english, clearly say 389 hp engine and 122 L gas tank for all the SR5 models. I doubt that they make a specific model with underpowered engine and corolla gas tank just for the small Canadian market . probably an error of the website, i hope ! thyre several errror on the website configurator.

TRD OR Package Wheels Canadian Trucks
The green truck is Canadian the one Truck King reviewed. The red truck is TFL's new Tundra. Both TRD offroad.
I want the wheels the red truck comes with. I find the green truck's wheels Fugly. I sent these pics to the dealer early this week to confirm if Canadian TRD's only come with those wheels on the green truck. He said he doesn't know, or is not saying right now. He needs to see the trucks coming in. And yes the website says the green truck's wheels are the only off road wheels.

According to the build tool even in the US the green truck's wheels are the TRD Offroad standard. The black ones are an optional add on, but they are 20" wheels.

or you can add the forged ones.

Damn theyre forged BBS wheels too!? Thats a sweet upgrade that Canadians are missing out on. In the US the SR5 TRD OR gets the 18" black/silver and the Limited TRD OR gets the 20" black forged wheels.

In Canada, SR5 and Limited TRD OR get the 18" black/silver wheels.

thx. haven't really looked too much at the American site - do not want to get depressed over what we don't get.
Makes me wonder though about TFL - the offroad guys. Andre says in the video they wanted to offroad so they picked that package.
Why then did they go with a street tire which I assume the larger 20 inch is.
Well, another point on the CON side for my decision as it probably means more $$$ to the Independent tire guy.

I don't think that is correct. The limited get's black 20s, but it doesn't say they are forged. Besides, the 18s will be better for actual off road use anyway.

Don't all you guys buy new wheels and tires as one of your first mods anyway?

I would want the 18” TRD pro wheels. The 20 inch would be too small a side wall for my liking.

No. I prefer to leave everything stock. Vehicles are enough of a money pit as-is.

There’s also the powder coat option to black them out. I was quoted $100 a wheel from a place in North Bay to do my oem silver ones. Might be the ticket if you’re happy with the stance and sticking to stock sizes.

I'll be budgeting for a Diamondback HD cover, wheels and tires within the first year of ownership. Factory tires are always complete garbage and the black/silver TRD OR wheels look like the north end of a southbound baboon. Whoever designed them needs to be slapped with a salmon.

I like the all black forged BBS wheels but at $1500 they can fuck right off. They can take the idea of 20" wheels with them as well.

Did we ever confirm the lug pattern on these trucks? If it's 6x139 like the big 3 are, there should be lots more reasonably priced wheel options than there are for the second gen.

When I was looking for wheels for my 21 Tacoma I found Forged BBS 17" Trd wheels for $1200 canadian but you could buy a set for $650 us at the time. I definitely wouldn't add wheels at the dealer, you'll pay way too much. Through parts or aftermarket is the way to go.

I haven't seen anything yet on lug pattern. I haven't really looked yet.

I have the TRD SEMA wheels from the TRD Pro 4Runner on my 1st gen. I paid about $1000 CAD after shipping and duties. I ordered from a dealership in California and had them shipped to just south of the line where my dad picked them up and brought them over for me.

That's the ones I'm talking about. I looked into getting them from the US but shipping was to much.

Me too, I’d rather spend the money on a tonneau cover and side steps.

Since they've now changed to a 6 bolt from a 5 bolt it would make sense that they're 6x139. That's what the Tacoma's/ 4Runner have.
I've looked all over but haven't been able to confirm the size other than 6 bolt.

Some tech memo, also LC300 uses same spindles and they are 6x5.5/139.7 , the center bore for new Tundra/LC300 is also 106mm , so most aftermarket wheels will fit.

Just wondering, mainly for Ont. peeps, what were the expected delivery dates for anyone who ordered? I am curious when to expect arrivals so I can consider going to dealers for seeing & hopefully test driving. I’ll never buy before a drive

My order went in Nov 22, the dealer said hopefully about 3 months, but honestly, I don’t think even Toyota Canada knows.

They're getting allocations now. I got an update from my dealer that they had a couple trucks that were 'close' in trim to what I requested and they're coming around mid Jan. They let me reserve one of them for now while we wait for a update on the one I requested. If Jan 12 comes, then I can keep waiting on the one I originally requested or have the one that comes in. Nice service!

Multiple dealers told me trucks coming mid Dec to able to see and maybe sit inside if not sold. Of the ones coming in January the one dealer has "hidden" one coming mid January that is close to what I might want. But now I am leaning toward a Crewmax TRD OffRoad Short bed like the one I own.

On a side note I noticed you have a 2009 Ridgeline. I had two 4 Runners and a Ridgeline replaced last one for the extra space and utility. It was a work and commuter vehicle. The inside was like a full size pickup. The AWD system was great. used its diff lock a few times. First one was a lease and I was going to buy it but they made me a deal a new 2011. Great vehicles. The rear axle ratio is higher than the Tundras (i think). Reason its mileage was not that great. My 2018 Tundra replaced the 2011 Ridgeline. Back to Toyota from the Honda run.

I hope this is true and I really, really hope 17" wheels will fit. I'd be able to transfer my TRD SEMA wheels over which would be absolutely amazing.

That'll be nice, my dealer asked if I was interested in a spot for a pro, but right now there's 26 so I said I'll wait and see, that and being almost near 100k otd is a hard pill to swallow.

It is, folks already have fitted aftermarket wheels, 17s will be super tight, I know 17s fit on lc300 but I also think the rotors on lc300 is about 10mm smaller in od, so it may fit with the trd Sema wheels, may need a spacer worst case.
