I was born out west (Holberg BC), so I'll have to agree. But far west!

We grew up vacationing and visiting family in Winfield BC. Even have a street named after us (my Grandparents to be exact).

Well my fellow Canucks, it's a new year. Snow on the ground, ice on the lakes, the sled dogs are restless but the igloo is warm. Best wishes to you and yours, hopefully this year is better than the last. May your skidoo start on the first pull, may your ice auger stay sharp and don't forget to keep your head up in the trolley tracks.

I finally got a Tundra! But I'm not legally allowed to drive it right now, which is some bullshit. I've got a BC license but the truck is in Alberta so no one wants to insure or register it. All I can get is a permit to drive it home, so it has to sit there all dirty for a couple weeks.

Took me a year of searching for a decent price. I was hoping for a crewmax, but stumbled upon this gem for a steal. The long box is awesome. The previous owner built the SR5 into a quasi limited or platinum, but skipped all the hoity toity stuff. He took amazing care of it so it feels almost brand new even with 280kms on it.

I cannot wait to get out and actually do some truck stuff with it.

I ate a sleeve of those tonight!

Got a 3 pack from the grocery store the other day and hid them in my drawer. I eat them when the kids fall asleep, so I don't have to share. :bananadance:

The big boy bags are sooooo much better then the snack packs. The snack ones are all tiny little cheezies. The big boy have some that are bigger than a hutterite's thumb.

my trail edition boxes came in, for those that are interested, the part numbers is:

    PT271-340SB

It's about $570 USD for 2 of them if you buy them new online, I paid less as I bought them used, Toyota Canada doesn't list them as available, and yes, that also mean Canadian Trail Edition trucks didn't get them, the first impression is they are lot more solid than expected, its very sturdy, the lid is more sturdy than the lid on my rambox.

I'm not sure how well it works as a cooler, but will find out.

Nice find! I have a crewmax and although I feel it was a good buy for our growing family, I would love an 8ft box. 12 ft material is as big as I go with my truck.

Well guys hope everyone's surviving. We have a stay at home order here which means I can finish off residential work I have started before January 12 but I can't take on any more for the next month. All non essential construction has had to stop. I only have a few more days of work in the next week or two, so I will be making a big push on our 2nd floors renovations. Ripping down lath and plaster walls, leveling floors, and built in cabinets. Got to get it all done before our due date, April 25.

Also got to do my rear brakes tomorrow, they have become metal on metal. :bananadead:

But atleast hockey's back! Go habs!

I'm loving it so far. Coming from a Tacoma where anything longer than 8ft was getting dangerous, I'm very excited to be able to haul just about anything I want.

Been debating adding an 8footer as field truck just because how useful long bed is.

Was able to install the trail edition boxes, this is damn useful to me, why didn't Canadian Trail edition get them?

    Function before sparkle.
The unverified rumor is the Canadian market didn’t get the trail boxes because they are not waterproof and they could be prone to cracking with water inside during freeze/thaw cycles.

The more likely reason is because Toyota Canada was trying to maintain a certain profit margin.
