A show that I really got into for a while there is "Just Passing Through" I think its strichtly on youtube...but there's a fair bit there including a (sort of) spin off called "pogey beach". I really recommend it for some laughs. My favourite episode is "the handy clam" its vulgar and stupid but dirtbags (like me) will find it very funny.

BTW I got greedy and tried to wipe the ice from my windshield this morning only to have both blades bust off. I drove to work with my head out the window like ace ventura. Crappy Tire for lunch it is.

This summer I learned “the flankers are maggoty” means the sparks from the fire are going everywhere in Newfoundland slang.
    I love it.

Well, vote me in as Supreme Dictator for Life of Most Glorious Republic Of Western Canada and I'll make it so. By my decree, all stations must match or beat the lowest posted price. Collusion to price fix at high prices will be punishable by public flogging. :amen:

I think we're still around the 95 cent mark but it's been a while since I went past a gas station.

When my uncle ran a gas bar in Elk Point, he would brag about having the lowest prices in the province all the time.

    A bunch
Wife and I filled up our trucks at Costco in Sherwood Park last week - 74.9 cents a litre. Sure looked like a lot of the city got in on that price too, it was pretty busy.

If you find something good, please post it in the thread linked below.

I bought new windshield wiper assemblies for my wife's Corolla (needed more than just blades) from Sparks because it was the cheapest option even with shipping and converting from USD to CAD then got nailed by duty when they arrived.

No worries. I don't think anyone came up with anything better over there either.

Buying from the u.s. would make more sense if we could accurately predict how much duty we're going to get hit with each time.

When ordering from States, try to get it shipped vIa USPS. Rarely any duty or brokerage fees in my experience

No problem. USPS hands off to Canada Post for delivery. UPS and FedEx take it all the way and charge insane brokerage fees and jack up any duty charges.

fedex just charged me without any notice and without me giving them my credit card (somehow they got it?!) $127.50 for a package they delivered in JUNE. And over $50 of it was their "fee". Effin d-bags.

UPS brokerage clearance fees are borderline extortion if you try to ship via the lowest cost method. I was once charged $50 in brokerage fees and about a single dollar in GST on a product that cost me $20 CAD shipped from the USA.

Once it's in my hands, if they haven't collected, I have refused to pay after the fact.

I've had to dispute it a few times way back.

Gosh, FedEx is possibly the worst offender of all the shippers, FedEx Ground is a separate legal company, and sometimes they would use collection agent to collect duty/brokerage without even being it past due.

Is it me or Tundra aftermarket LED tail lights are ridiculously expensive?
