Thanks, she was looking pretty good :)
I drug the trailer to city on Saturday and damn was that an interesting drive haha. 6” of snow and every intersection a pair of kids trying to get across in their front wheel drives with bald tires redlined just making pure ice :monocle:

We have "decent" snow tires on my wife's Corolla and I'm pretty easy on the gas but I still find myself looking for a way to put it in second when starting from a stop on a hill in the snow. The car is just too light to get traction.

This was also almost our problem last week. Little manual Yaris and we live in a San fran like town, owensound. The whole town is a hill. Anyway my wife complained that her steering felt tighter. First big wet freeze and her doors had been frozen shut so i just figured her car needs warming up. She left and I saw from the front window she was driving on her rim, tire was completely flat. She got a few blocks before i could reach her. 2 new winter tires took care of the mistake I made. I know better too my wife is zero percent mechanically inclined or vehicle observant so always assume the worst. I better be extra cautious when she says her wiper fluid runs out.:smack:

I'd offer to trade you our automatic Corolla for your manual Yaris but then my wife would actually have to learn how to drive either a manual or a truck.

Haha i would take that deal! Corolla would be way better. And that makes two of them that havent learned to drive a truck. Were thinking we will ugrade her vehicle after 2nd baby as we will be rocking two car seats in the back. And the Yaris is tiiiggghht. Like the front seats pulled way up to make it work. And im 6'5 lol.

In the Corolla, we just have to slide the seat forward to get the car seat in and out but I can have it in my usual spot for driving. I'm just under 6', though.

Picked up a used cap in London Ontario this week. Only 7 hrs of driving there and back but the price was right. My dad wanted to come for the ride, crazy guy but I enjoyed the company. Stoked to be able to keep my tools in the back a little more comfortably, and not have the bench seat overflowing. Got the snows on today. Painted them a dark bronze to fix up the old rusty steels. Still need to fix some paint and spray some woolwax on the underbody here soon.

I got my truck Krowned in Napanee yesterday. It was my third time there and second with this truck. I mentioned to them that I think thought they had missed the inside of my rear bumpers last year...I was informed that "krown" doesnt do the insides of bumpers, but she would make a note and make sure that they got it. When I went to pay I asked if they did my bumpers and she informed me that they had. I drove home and looked at my receipt...no mentioned of it in the "notes" and when I quickly looked it was mostly dry. So, I am letting Y'all know not to assume that Krown will get your bumpers, and also I'm wondering what you guys think I should spray them with? Go back and ask her for a can of their spray? fluid film? I want to get it before the salt goes down.

    Adam,

You probably can’t go wrong with a can of FF, Krown or RustCheck. FF and RC are available at Canadian Tire, if that’s easier.

When I lived out your way, I use to get my vehicles RustChecked every fall and it made a huge difference in frame and body longevity.

Even better when work kicks in $500 for my yearly tool allowance. ;) I'm switching out from Ridgid. All my cordless stuff at home will be Milwaukee. Gotta save up for that fancy impact gun and the string trimmer next spring. :D

Maybe I'm a girly man but I really like the 12 volt lineup...Ive got a few of the M12 tools and lights and they are great. I have corded dewalts when I need more power.

Im considering some M12 stuff, the size is very appealing. But for things like saws, grinders, vacuums and recip saws, 12volts wont cut it IMO.
