Oh Fox Vegas...how I don't miss thee. Did a bunch of work up the Iosegun a few years back.

Also had the pleasure of a fully loaded 30ft enclosed trailer jump off the hitch at 110km/h about 5min west of Fox. Safetu chains caught it, I let hit the back of my truck and got it to the side. I was driving a F450 picker truck, so we dropped the outriggers swung the picker around and lifted the trailer back onto the hitch and skedaddled before anyone noticed. LOL.

Best part was we were calling the office when we lost it. "Hey, is Ken there?"...."Yup, one sec"...."Aaron, you on your way ba..."..."FUCK! We lost the trailer, call you back" *beep*

Caused a bit of panic in the office for a bit I guess.

A few weeks ago, I was planning on loading up the Tundra for a tenting trip this weekend.

    Glad I decided against

Still cold and clear here in GP. No more snow...yet. Perfect hunting weather, a couple guys I work with are hoping it holds until Nov when the moose season opens.

I love it for flyfishing. The cold water gets the fish moving and the sunny, warmer days get the bug life fired up. I'm hoping to get out to a lake on Sunday.

So I’ve been driving on the 43 west for work, but on my way back, holy is that highway super busy!! Never seen so much oil field equipment at once!

43 can get pretty busy but at least it's divided, 2 lanes each way. 40 is a friggen nightmare being only two lanes.

43 used to be rough before they doubled it. Was flat out scary in winter. 40 is crazy too, just moose hooves and ears sticking out of the grader banks every 500m.

40 is the main reason I have a dash cam in my truck. I haven't driven it a single time without nearly being run off of the road by some idiot oilfield trucker at least once. South of Grande Cache it's okay, but the stretch between GP and GC is packed full of oilfield traffic.

How long ago did the twin 43? It's been twinned as long as I can remember. Are you old??? :D

    Nice! What's on the menu?

Just me and The Woman this year, we'll be doing our dinner tomorrow too. I'll be doing a pineapple baked ham, grilled German potato salad, cornbread and Caesar salad with an apple pie for dessert. Strongbow Gold with dinner and a Balvenie speyside scotch for afters. :D

    Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

My quad trailer project is all done, and it’s about to get initiated.

Getting loaded up today, for a early morning start headed north for our Bison hunt. And elk / moose if they’re willing to participate.

Heading up Hwy 5 / 16 /40 to GP, catching some z’s, filling our fuel cans, and crossing back into BC and heading to Pink Mountain Tuesday. Planning on a 2 week trip, but I took 3 weeks off work...

If you see my Tundra loaded up and pulling a couple sleds in a convoy with a white Dodge flatdeck with quads pulling a flatdeck trailer with a camper and other crap, that’s us. :)

Looking good! I'll keep an eye out LOL! I've only been up through Pink Mountain once. I need to spend more time up that way, it's beautiful country.

Good hunting! I expect pics. :D
