Lots' changed here in the past 15. Growing like crazy. Still has the "small" town feeling in ways. For me anyways.
It's nice to go out and see the province, but always glad to return home.

Looking forward to future trips next summer out west. Plan on driving through it all... even the flat parts and up through Ontario. It'll be long but a bucket list item.

He sure liked the room in the back of my crewmax when he sat back there once, and he's tall and still had lots of room. So hopefully I lead him to a good path eh. Lol

    I bet it has changed.
Ontario is a highlight of the drive west. Once you get past sudbury and start following lake Superior its beauty. Stop in WaWa and spend the day at sandy beach on the way. Having said that, I will never drive across Canada again.

LoL - I imagine it may end up being a do it once and never again drive... so the once should be next year if all goes as planned and then never again hahahah.
I'll make note of WaWa. I'll need somewhere to camp out up north before continuing West.

My best friend from college is in the Cambridge/Kitchener area. After school we lived in Norval/Georgetown and in early 2002, I headed to the US and he went into that area. It has grown so much!

    Hey Krezz....

My buddy works in KW at the Carquest on Victoria... I'm looking to meet up with other tundra owners in Ontario.

As far as driving across Canada is concerned, I did it 6 times last year... but not in my Tundra. Wawa is quite the nice town.... and driving along the lakes is a blast. But the best is going through the mountains in BC, there is nothing like it anywhere in Canada. Going east is another great trip... drove to StJohns's Newfoundland in a Nissan NV200 a few days after Jan 1, never been there before so that was quite the adventure.

The old lady and I are heading to Golden BC tomorrow to stay in a cabin for a couple of days. Ive put more KM on my truck driving to BC than anywhere else. Should break 6000km on the ODO this trip.
Hope the roads are decent as the weather reports call for snow.

I've only been as far East as NB and we drove through PEI to experience the bridge, ice cream and the ferry, then back through NS just to return to NB. Really also want to go out and experience the Cabot Trail and NFL for sure!

There is a group is Ontario also known as SONTT, bunch of Toyota Truck guys. Couple of us meet up every second Sunday of the month down in Drumbo.

I always hear the Mountains of BC are something else. So many trips, as long as we have our health the next few summers should be great.
So far the kids enjoy spending time with us, hopefully they also continues as they get older.

I guess that means March 12 to meet in Drumbo... sounds good. Can you send me the time and address or intersection that everyone meets? My truck isn't set up for any serious off-road excursions. This is evident by looking at my pics.

Yes, they are. But if or when you make the trip out, be sure to take in the Alberta side of the Rockies too, specifically the Icefield Parkway between Banff and Jasper. Popular, but for good reason.

Highway 93 through the icefields was closed yesterday due to avalanche warnings.
I love being in the mountains! To have them only a few hours from home is amazing.
Heres a pic from the throne!

Where in golden is the cabin? Most of my driving is to the west as well, rode lake louise yesterday, took my girls matrix though, save a few $$.

Icefield parkway is unreal. We do that road a few times a year on our way to brule lake. Sometimes I have to slap myself so I remember to never take where I live for granted.

Just outside of golden about 15km. There is quite a few cabins out here that people rent.

Yeah maybe. I remember hitting a road that was "Upper Donald something".
This place is unreal! Blue skies, light large fluffy snow, mountain in the distance and its hovering around 0C. Couldnt ask for more!

Went on a short hike today to enjoy the sun that we haven't seen in a while. Took the family and our Godson as well. Was fun down by the river and we discovered a small play set that the kids took advantage of.
