I'm not sure what he used, but I made my own tie down strap system for my canoe and have been using it for 20y in our Sienna and now Tundra.

Old backpack strap, doubled over to make a loop, hot nail to piece the bolt opening, bolt to frame somewhere. Tucked under kowel for storage and pulls out when needed.

I never use too much force when tying down the canoe, it's just to stabilize it.

Cost....free. They do sell them online but it's not worth more than $3 in material.

Probably used a ratchet strap around the front camera. :) Then cranked till the plastic started groaning.

Next week, the new thread will be: "paint coming off the hood - warranty or not?"

Ok, Tks. I have a set of those too. I just couldn’t see in the pic - some stupid nature (tree) got in the way lol! Wrapped hood is a good idea too

Just did a little search across Canada for 24 tundras. Listings with pictures show limited trd off roads with the hybrid get colour matched and the black trim like sr5. Limited off roads non hybrid get same chrome trim as previous years. Why is Toyota so dam weird when it comes to this stuff?

Can you imagine if they not only sold coffee but also sold donuts?

I can’t stand timmies coffee. At all. I prefer Mc Donald’s if I have to have a coffee to go. Otherwise at home it’s fresh ground Kirkland beans from Costco. Made by Starbucks I think? I think grinding the beans fresh is more important than who does the roasting to be honest.

Tim’s makes a decent sandwich but I refuse to stand in line.

I think most Canadians go to Tim’s because they think it’s a Canadian company. It’s an American company partly owned by a Brazilian company but I think Tim’s is headquartered in Canada for tax planning only. Maybe I screwed that up, but it’s NOT a 100% Canadian company anymore.

We tend to go to Tim's when we're on the road because it's one of the few places (along with A&W) that's fast and convenient and has vegetarian options for my wife. She also likes their coffee so much I have to buy their grounds at the grocery store for her. (And we can't afford Starbucks). I don't drink coffee so I don't really give a shit. I really hate McDonald's. The food is awful.

When Tim's got sold to the Brazillian company they stopped buying their coffee from a roaster, which McDonald started buying, so McCafe is actually not bad now.

    https://www.thecommonscafe.com/is-mcdonalds-coffee-the-old-tim-hortons/#google_vignette

If you live outside of city there's little choice beside McDonald's or Tim's, I really wish we have more choices, or have some law that encourage mom and pop places.

How was it? I saw someone with a trailer today in the snow and immediately thought of you lol.

Have to say, moving to lithium for our trailer was a game-changer. I know nothing about this brand, but if you’re on the fence, it’s worth trying.
