Oh yes I agree. That’s good to hear. I have baja designs fogs amber coming for when I throw my new bumper on. They just taking forever to get here. I’m really liking those SS3s

@Mattedfred, what did you get for a bed mat? I am looking for one for the 6.5' bed and those seem harder to find.

Did they throw in the bed mat or charge you for it? When I bought my truck, the cheap bastards wouldn't even toss in the bed mat for free. They wanted to hit me up for $250 or so for it. I told them they could keep it and I'd spend $300 on a BlackArmor mat which is thicker, heavier duty and fits better. $60K ish by the time the dust settled and I didn't even get so much as a Yeti mug when I bought my truck...

By CAT scale you mean the commercial truck scale on the highway? If so, I use that one. More accurate and legitimatw for towing/hauling purposes.

I pass them all the time but have never stopped.

Next time I am driving by and they are actually open, I may stop in. I think I have one close to home, in a small suburb just outside of town, where the truckers come in off the #1 Trans Can Hwy.

I've add lot of under armour, sliders, steel bumper, larger tires.

Around here, most of the scales are usually still operational when they're closed. You shouldn't need to worry about them being open or not.

Could be the same here. I just know when camping up north or in Ontario, the " all trucks must weigh ahead" signs, are covered with a "closed" panel.

I'm guessing the one in the #1, by my fishing hole is always open.

@Mattedfred, looks like all the de chroming was done for you!

It does look like you got the inner fender liners! Were they an option on some models? ;)

    Please post your payload results.

Our 2019 is nothing close to that. Zero gap, not even a mm along the length of either rear window.

I think it's just the way the 3rd Gens were designed. Looks stupid and definitely an oversight, but I don't think it's actually a problem. Every 3rd Gen I've looked at has the same thing.

Yeah, there's a few things they missed the mark on with the 3rd Gens. I love my truck and don't regret buying it, but it's far from perfect.

Careful, you're going to get yourself run out of the 3G section of the forum with that kind of reasonable attitude.

The shop disconnected it from the stock bumper when they did my insurance work on the bumper replacement.

I asked them to zip tie it behind the screen in the new bumper, they actually did it beside the passenger fog (you can see it in the pic). I have since zip tied it where it will be going and it's not visible or needed for a few months.

NitroFishing tundra guy (forget name), has a video showing the same bumper and how he did his parking sensors. Step bit drill new spot in bumper mesh (removable), snap it in place and should be good to go.

    We'll see how it goes.

    Sad news indeed.

    Gordon was a legend.

    https://youtu.be/tV9PoWQVga0

"It’s no wonder Bob Dylan called him one of his “favourite composers,” Lightfoot’s songs were covered by a stunning variety of artists, including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Neil Young, Judy Collins, and The Grateful Dead. Dylan once claimed that whenever he heard a Gordon Lightfoot song, he wished “it would last forever”."

I've been listening to Gordon today.

Sad news. I lived 2 miles from Carefree Highway in Arizona for 10 years. As a Bluenose Canadian new in US, gave new meaning to one of his many great lyrics.

But The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is my favorite.

    RIP sir.
