My 19 SR5 doesn't have it and I could go either way.

I'm looking for my wife's 2020 Rav4. She doesn't like going out in -30 all winter at 630am for work. She starts before me, so I can't even start it for her.

 

I never had remote start before, so a tad novel, but it is nice when there is heavy frost to defrost windshield so no scraping needed, as I’ve recently enjoyed
We live in an apt currently, so using the app is nice to start it from inside & by the time we get down to parking lot it has started doing its trick. But then I open the door & it shuts off. That part would be nice to have resolved with aftermarket

 

I can't afford to idle my truck long enough to defrost the windshield...

Lol, yeah I currently live in the sunny southern Ontario, so still green grass. The few frost days were short idles. But even that does show with the mileage!

I was just trying to figure out how they would get some of those prizes over the border.

But I don't really need anything and I missed the Crue donation so I'll probably just tell them to keep the money and not put my name in the raffle.

 

Some of the knives are sweet but customs have been taking them.

 

Donations only are possible. The folding knives might not make it across the line but the fixed blades will.

I msg organizers, as I dont use either approved payment method. so waiting to hear if they will accept an e-transfer. As most of us, I see enough raffle items that wont clear customs, so not interested in that, just making a donation. If anyone else is wondering, I will post the reply about e-transfer when I hear back.

 

They have had success using apple pay, and Zelle apparently. So i will try apple pay tonight.

Gang, I tried using Apple Pay & everything points to it not working in Canada. The option never showed up after following all apple instructions & web help search. The system uses Apple Cash which works through messenger- but to option isn’t on any list, field or otherwise

I grew up 15 miles from Creston, BC, on the ID side and spent a lot of my childhood on Kootenay Lake. My brother is actually dual citizen.

Would love the thoughts of the community...

I am considering selling my ARE canopy and Prinsu rack and going with something different (something like a Super Pacific or GFC). I've been looking at Kijiji and there are so few Tundra toppers/canopies for sale. I haven't seen many decent 2014-2021 for sale.

Any thoughts on the current used market? Is it that they sell so fast or just that nobody sells them?

For reference, mine is an ARE Z-Series (cement color) with a Prinsu rack. I think the current retail on that package is over $6k CAD new, and with a 5 month wait from ARE.

 

I don't know for sure but it was similar when I bought mine in early 2020. There was nothing used that I could find for the 2.5 gen.

 

Same when I bought mine. I ended up waiting for months for the canopy and now the prices/wait times are even longer.

I just don't know if people are looking for canopies...

 

I think they are a tough sell being colour matched and all. Im sure someone in the market for on with the same colour would be begging to cive you the $$
