We had thunder and lightning and then snow on Saturday but most of it melted yesterday.

 

Was crazy to be out BBQ'ing while I was being turned into a snowman all while tracking lightning. Definitely some weird shit.

 

You're braver than I am. I was out on the road around 6 and Sherwood Park was blanketed in fog.

 

Keep that shit over there. It's +20 and sunny here today. I spent the morning shooting guns and the afternoon doing yard work.

 

I guess you don't have the same forecast as we do just north of Edmonton? Supposed to rain all night then be 0 by the morning with the rain continuing . I better still see grass when the dog wakes me up in the morning

 

5 deg with flurries or showers tomorrow. Then sun and above 10 all week.

 

We had an awesome day today...about +15, shorts and t-shirt.

Tomorrow we are back to snow and overnight of -6.

Looks like we are having similar flip flop weather patterns. Back to +13 on Wed.

 

Wednesday could get interesting for a bunch of people down here in the states.

 

Was 23 today in the bush. Was sweating in my coveralls haha. We only had one week of mud in Fox Creek and now it’s dry and dusty af. Absolutely unreal dry here. I hope we get some rain ASAP! The yard grass feels like sawdust.

Ps I got a 2021 f150 ecoboost for a new work truck and am loving it on the rally racecar roads

 

There seem to be an inordinate number of Teslas in Sherwood Park these days...

 

Definitely dry this year. My aunt was able to get into our lake lot with her Lexus this weekend. Typically we don't even try with my dad's 4x4 until May.

 

Once one got one all the other all the others have to 'keep up with Joneses'. Lots of competing in the subdivisions there.

 

I guess they are technically supposed to be luxury cars but I'd probably still go with a Lexus if I was going to spend money on a vehicle that's more expensive than it needs to be.

 

Mother Nature got high yesterday ( 4/20 )

 

We were hitting 27 degrees here the week before last. Solid 20s through Monday to Friday. Just awesome. Today it's -2. Our family is in isolation until next Monday. But on the plus side we had our little one a week ago so it's not too bad all being at home for this time.

 

At what km does the company flip those? Same as other engines/brands?

Yeah that’s pretty standard then. You hear the ecoboost horror stories but it’s not like you see them littering the highways like dodges err rams

It's telling when you see undamaged 2009+ f150 at a scrap yard.

 

Don’t kid yourself I know it’s a ferd. I’m loving it because I didn’t pay for it or maintenance costs.
I owned a 2013 ecoboost and ended up with a $27k warranty bill after the dealer replaced the long block. 3 pistons had their skirts break off and beat the hell out of the inside of the cylinders at 30000km. Pretty fun stuff.

But they rip and are comfy. I’ll take a work truck

 

This is one of the roads I take as a shortcut when the weather allows, it's a beautiful "unmaintained" road that cuts between 2 large properties, for right outside of Toronto, this is about as much elevation as you get so sometimes I like to stop and take in the view.

However, since last fall I start noticing these damn a**holes start littering at the top of the hill and starting fires.
