Yeah. With the hybrid system the inverter is in the way.

The COMFORT+ option and Trickle charger option are now available on the 2024 Toyota.ca build+price. At a very high price.

But only for certain trims, eg for the 2024 Limited but not for the 2024 Limited TRD OR. Not said why.

It always has been. But for non-hybrids. Also the price is almost triple the price from authorized defa dealers.

Have a look at Toyota.ca build and price. These options, comfort+ and trickle charger are offered only for the Limited Crewmax gas, but not for the Limited Crewmax gas with the TRD OR option. I like to understand why. Is it incompatible with the EPS battery or start/stop system?

DEFA told me that the system will work with all tundras (my22+) but Toyota (for whatever reason) specs them for certain trims.
My dealer told me “because of the grill” and it was a “safety issue”. DEFA said bs.

It’s not the grill. It’s the hybrid system. If you look at Toyotas install instructions the hybrid parts under the hood are in the way.

I’ve gotten responses from DEFA that it’ll still work, and another Toyota tests their products and they can’t say for sure blah blah blah.

    tldr it’ll work .

I,know it’s not the grill, and I know it;ll work. Just saying what my dealer told me. Amazing that I know more than them.

I have a 2015 Tundra and I need an engine block heater and a cab heater (I have a battery heater). The low winter temperature in 2022 was -40 and I don't want to have to idle my truck for 30 minutes just to get it warmed up. Last year was in the single digits ad it took a good 20 minutes of idling. Plus, driving in that temp cools my truck so I am looking for a front grill cover. Where can I get a system like this without getting price gouged? That $1600 install price is insane.

Once warmed up those temps shouldn’t cool a gas truck. Diesel maybe. I drove in -50’s and my truck stayed warm. I do have a block heater to help it get to them quicker, and it’s usually warm within a couple minutes of driving. In -50’s most vehicles won’t get warm to temp just idling. It’ll get oil through the engine though so just drive easy at first.

but for the price, buy the parts from defa and install it yourself. Install is pretty straight forward.

As a hybrid owner I must say I’m not really impressed with truck heater performance in cold weather it sucks ! My diesel get warmer inside after running for 20 minutes and never lost windshield driving to work (getting all fogged up) the cabin heater would be a great option but dealership told it wasn’t available for the hybrid and it was normal for hybrid to not heat up as much as non hybrid. Come on Toyota it’s 2024 !!

No problems with my heater. Did you try the defroster ? ...clears windshield and front sides fast. Only small gripe is you have to physically hit the defrost button each time as even if you were running it during winter, it won't engage when restart truck via app.
