New to the forum, first post.

I know nothing about wheels and tires. I usually leave everything stock.

I purchased a 2017 Tundra SR-5 2WD. It came with stock 18inch Styld Stl Wheels. The tires are P255/70R18.

I was look at Tirerack.com for some new wheels, but wanted to use my current tires on the new wheels. The wheels I am looking at are listed below.

My question is, is this possible to do? On Tirerack.com it say the required tire size is 275/65-18. Would I be able to use my stock tires that are 255/70R18? Any help is appreciated.https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whe...=Tundra+2wd&autoYear=2017&autoModClar=CrewMax

Welcome. Yes, they'll work. almost identical in circumference. Your tires are about .75" narrower but still wider than a 9" rim. Your tires are roughly 10" wide.

Rec. Tire Size = recommended not required. Your old tires should work fine on those wheels. There is also a website that will simulate the two tire sizes and allow you to compare them in inches if unsure.

Welcome! I’m right there with you, the stock 18”s are badddddd. What I’m pretty sure I’m doing is buying TRD rims and tires off craigslist. OEM for like eight hunnit fiddy (sometimes more sometimes less). Rims are nowish priority, there’s other stuff I need to do first that is more about functionality (linex the bed, linex the chrome bumperettes, Yakima rack and basket, hoop steps) and rims/tires are just a cosmetic thing that drives me nuts (along with my giant chrome grille which I’m replacing with a TRD Pro grille nowish too). I have a wife, business, mortgage, and a kid so I really have to pick my battles. I can sneak little stuff like emblems and antennae in though!

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I'm so happy! I can get wheels, and still save some money by using the stock tires. :D

25mm is a sweet spot offset for our trucks. I'm at +28 w/ 34.5" tires. The truck will look much better with a +25 than with the stock +60

I had stock tires on 18x9 for quite a while before upsizing to larger tires. Make sure to post some pictures when you get the wheels. Perhaps this chart will help.

Did you ever use your stock tires on new wheels? If so, could you show me?
