Looks amazing! Fully plan to do this with the chrome handles sitting in a box up in the attic.

Could you explain what you mean by polishing with fine grit?

I use a fine cut polish. This one has always worked best for me:

Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze Ultra-Cut Compound, Removes Scratches and Restores Car Shine - 32 Fl Oz Bottle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001O7PNW8

Do you have to use a less aggressive polish after the Ultra Cut Compound? I have only ever used Fine Cut Cleaner #2 for fear of others being to aggressive and leaving scratches.

No. Ultra-cut is the finest “grit” they make. I just use a little ultimate wax after for protection.

This is on my to do list too. Color match my black handles on my trd or dc to mgm. For anyone interested I found some oem painted factory colors on Amazon.. there are a lot of crap cheap stuff on Amazon but this seller Royal South Toyota parts seems legit and sells all kinds of color match door handles (dc and cm) mirror covers and other stuff. Just click the seller name and check their storefront (sorry can’t copy link in the app).
