anyone have any recommendations on a fuse box for under the hood. Have a lot of accessories now going the the battery terminals. Works but would like to make it a little cleaner with labels and get rid of the inline fuses

SwitchPro and SDOFFROADMT Tray mount. The other one you can look into is Powertray

Cap owners that camp in theirs….I’m going back and forth on a Leer 100XR cab height or Leer 180 mid-rise.

I really like the thought of only one twist handle lock that can be locked with my key fob…especially when sleeping inside at night (Leer 100XR). I’ve read many “can’t go back to a double T-handle” after having a single.

However, I’ve seen a lot that wish they had a bit more headroom when sleeping. Unfortunately, not sure if they stopped manufacturing the 180XR but my dealer stated that the Leer 180 only offers the double T-handles.

Lastly, I’d only sleep in it occasionally during the summer but would have the “convenience” of the remote lock year round. For whatever reason, SnugTop and A.R.E. are so much more expensive up here in Alaska. Would appreciate some insight. Thanks!

Hard to go wrong with Blue Sea stuff. I have their 5046 for some circuits that aren't running through my switch pro.

Don't currently have a topper, but kinda like the GFC's. Go Fast Camper. Kinda a supplement to my trailer. Park the trailer for a few weeks at a time and still get away from it for a night or two in the GFC that will go places the trailer won't. Yeah I know the payload police will whine about this thought. No worries! My point is check out the GFC.

How are you all routing your diesel heaters to a camper shell? Trying to find the most optimal way.

What I’ve generally seen is people setting it by their truck and running the duct through a window.

unfortunately have screens on my windows that I don’t want to mess up. Ended up routing this way for now. Debating about drilling it into the bed and having it vent basically where the muffler is. Saves some setup time.

Added a new state park to the list of great camp spots over the weekend. Fort Richardson State Park, North Unit. Only one other camper the whole time and they left a full day before us.

It was a beautiful spot! Only an hour and change away from me, so not bad for a quick jaunt.

I've camped many nights in the back of my '05, which has a cab height Snugtop Supersport. I've never felt a need for more headroom and I'm 6'7". If you were going to sleep on top of some sort of gear storage drawers/lockers, then I would probably opt for a taller cap. Otherwise, for occasional use in the summer, I would go with cab height. Yes, the caps have gotten expensive. In '05, I paid right around $2k for a Snugtop Supersport. In '21, I paid $3,600 for a Snugtop Supersport.

    Not much…yet.
Ive looked at a bunch, and most don’t mount in a position I like. I ordered the Taco-tunes plate they use for their stereo upgrades, and plan on running a solid state relay setup custom mounted. I’ll let you know how it goes, I wire for a living so I’m very particular lol.

Took my new Smittybuilt overlander g2 out the other weekend to test it out in the Arizona desert. Love the set up. Tundra runs great on the off cambered trails out here. Just picked up the Icon expansion kit and have 5160s for the rear on the way to help with the weight.
