666298F6-4ED9-4712-A328-3CB83E47342B.jpg Well, she’s waiting for me in NH! Leaving Tuesday, install on Wednesday. Plan to camp my way home over 7 days. I really want to do a few days in VT but appears they have some of the stricter quarantine policies in the nation. May just skip over to PA where quarantine seems more like a suggestion. I plan to be flexible in case. Only real things I want to do are camp and Mtb solo, so maybe I can get away with that as a “quarantine.” Definitely doesn’t appear I’ll be able to hit up the restaurants and breweries in VT I had originally planned. :/

We use one of those little tent things (right side of pic) for my wife's potty and the pump up garden sprayer shower.

They are a PITA to get folded back into their little case though. I just leave it unfolded and slide it under the mattress in the bed of the truck.

Don't get me started on Lil Heater Buddies. I've had the worst luck with mine. Mine just wouldn't stay lit even though I always made sure it was well vented; maybe it also had to do with the fact that I often camped at altitudes above 7,000 feet, sometimes significantly above. The internet is full of people who have had similar issues.

I finally gave up on mine and went with a propane heater designed for outside use only, heating golf carts. It doesn't have any safety shut-off valves and so far I haven't had any issues. I have to be very careful to keep it near a vented window.

I don't sleep with mine on either and yes, these shells aren't insulated very well. What type of insulation would you be using?

I have the waterport and Nemo heliO XL . The waterport has more pressure but it's also heavier and requires more components to mount. At this point,I'm leaning towards the Nemo since it's collapsible after use.

My wife just asked, what’s the first purchase coming after the camper I probably won’t understand. I said pretty quickly, winch and bumper. She said ok! Of course I had to explain myself a little afterwards just to feel ok. Man, I love her.
I’m between arb and custom hybrid. Probably with a warn 12-s. Not the most expensive model.
Of course there will be lights too :/

I was looking at picking up some of this if I plan to do much camping out this fall/winter. I've seen similar stuff mentioned in other forums, and it seems to work pretty good from what I've read. Expect I'll just line the entire back with it and place my build on top of it.

Our friends lent us a paddle board for what may have been our last blast of summer weather.
Camped in banff and told our neighbour with generator there is no way he is pointing his exhaust at our campsite and the Results were positive.
It was a no alcohol no canabis wk end at national parks, I think it should have been a no kids no generator wk end.
Everyone kept the booze on the DL and there was zero issue.

Spent 3 nights at 9k feet last weekend. 108 at home and maybe hit 82 on the mountain.

    It was glorious!

Nice, gotta get out of this damn heat every now and then. We are heading out for a few days next week. Will only be at 5k feet, but the weather is supposed to be about 98 here, so hoping for the same lower 80s you had.

66f low. May just try out the furnace. Definitely won’t “need it.”

I do have a fourth keg so we can have nitro beer on the trail. Just need to plumb a chill plate through the fridge to make it nice and cold on tap. ;)

Spent the weekend down at AdventureFest 2020 put on by Mountain State Overland. Great event, given the current circumstances, with some really nice trucks. Had a blast checking out some of the local back roads around Covington, VA, certainly will be back to explore more.
