Have you tested how long the jackery will run it?

Just for comparison sake. I tested my Iceco fridge with my EcoFlow River Pro battery pack and it ran for over 3 days.

I have been using a Jackery 500 and an Aspenora 54qt fridge for almost two years now. The fridge never runs the Jackery down overnight when set to 34 degrees on High mode. It draws around 40w when the compressor kicks on and around 4w on standby.

Ambient outdoor temperature seems to play a role in when the compressor kicks on, so I want to figure out a better way to insulate the outside.

We borrowed a jackery 200? (Super small) to run our fridge with the thought of using solar to keep up on a 6 day trip. Big mistake. Of course we were in the shade, so I was constantly poaching power from other camp sites and using the truck battery while charging the jackery and trying to drive the truck enough to not murder that battery.
I had some serious range anxiety for 4 days.
We then moved to a site with open skys and the 100watt panel was more than enough to keep going for the remaining 2 days.
Have since bought a 1500ah bluetti.

Yea, I use a Jackery 160 just to run some LED lights inside the tent. I couldn’t imagine trying to use it for anything else other than a few lights and phone recharge.

Nice. I've ran the same fridge and slide for about 6-8 months now and love them both.

I looked it up, it was the jackery 240 and it would keep the cfx45 going for 12hours (overnight)

Ok had a good test at silverwood lake this weekend. the HF thunderbolt 100w solar panel worked great. got to 100% charge on the jackery from about 60% in less than 6 hours while jackery was powering the fridge. since I disconnected the solar panel I have been running the fridge at 20F for 72hrs Jackery is at 22% right now..every now and then I go out to check on it and open it up to grab a water, soda or beer... it is under my retrax in my unshaded driveway in San Diego...

Update 88 hours now down to 2% on the jackery still piwering the fridge. end of test.

I run a small fridge thermometer in my Iceco and it seams to run pretty accurate to what I have the fridge set to. I do have to kick it down some if I have it packed or it's hot out, but that's understandable. Heading out on a 10 day trip on Friday, so I'll keep and eye on the temp readings.

A few updates to my fridge platform. Built a new platform for a seat delete which will allow me to run my fridge further back near the cab wall and run a tote in front for dry storage.

Damn, your guys' set up are amazing. I just picked up a 35qt BOUGERV fridge with a Jackery 300 and 100w solar panel.

Just got a Euhomy 55 qt, and plan to use with Jackery 240. It'll be plugged into the truck's 12v for drive up to camp, and using a 100w panel during the day to keep the jackery as full as possible. I'll have the fridge plugged in at night and running it at about 36 degrees. Basically safe refrigerator temp. Hoping that it lasts until morning when I can put panel back out or start the truck and run it off 12v. When I'm not at camp, I'll have the panel running the jackery/fridge and hoping it doesn't completely die.

It will be fine , I run a jackery 290 with my fridge the same way. I usually have 50% charge in the mornings running all night on eco. Some helpful hints, is once you plug into the jackery try not to be in and out of the fridge a bunch. I also run it on eco mode when on the jackery. It does better when in the cab overnight than in the bed as well. I don't use a solar panel.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, my fridge will be in the backseat. I typically lift up one side of the back seat, and ratchet strap my cooler to that seat. I'm planning on doing same with fridge, mindful of some space around the exhaust vents. I have other small batteries for lights, etc., so won't be using the jackery for anything but the fridge. I'm going to do a test run this Sunday (8/21/22) with the jackery, solar panel and fridge for most of the day in my backyard, just to see how the jackery holds up on battery power when it gets dark, so i know approx how much i'll have once sun goes down.

More i'm thinking about it, when i do the test run this sunday with panel, jackery and fridge, if it's insufficient, it'll be a good reason to just get a 500.

Like I said with my 290 it does fine. Being in the cab gives additional insulation to help it work too. Where you are located makes a difference as well, I'm in utah so at night even in summer , especially in the mountains, just isn't that hot. During the day is a different story

Also , I usually will just recharge the jackery on 12v as well when I'm driving , which is why I don't use a panel. You can also pass through charge it on 12v (plug fridge to jackery , jackery to 12v)
