been looking on craigslist for a while for a camper shell for my truck. it is a 2005 double cab. is there any other vehicles that would fit the tundra bed size? I found a nice 1 for a 2005 gmc 1500 and the guy said it is universal fit? waiting for him to send me dimension sizes. just wondering how it would fit up against the cab. thanks, Jesse

When I purchased my ARE Z topper, the salesman did measure the bed of my CM. He said he wants ARE to know the exact pre order dimensions of my CM bed rails. He said ARE can’t later come back and say he did not provide the demensions after the order is placed. I really liked the topper dealers attention to detail, and my topper fits totally factory perfect, sealed properly and no leaks what so ever.

So I would say no, you likely will not find a topper designed for another brand truck to fit your truck without issues. Good luck with your search. FWIW.

Sometimes you can go to the camper top dealers and they have trade in tops, that is how my dad got his. Someone upgraded and he saved, it's another source to watch.
