I'll take your word on all that. I tend to do just the opposite. I tend to buy cars/trucks that are 1-2 years old with less then 15k miles or so on them. (Let the OB take the depreciation hit) I then pay them off ASAP and drive em until the wheels fall off!

Either way, no way in hell I'd trade a '17 TRD Pro in Cement for a '19 Pro in any of the available colors. I think the '17's are overall better and Cement is the best color the Tundra ever left the factory in.

That's just me. Too each their own

Cement is indeed an awesome color. If it were available on the Pro this year, I most certainly would have bought it!

It's a little absurd, really. And yeah, they love me. I have a problem.

    :amen: -

I would go and buy a tundra right now if they had offered cement color in platinum trims'

Off topic. What’s the latest y’all think it’s possible to get a pro? I’m looking at around Christmas time. Do they really sell out fast?

You must be getting great discounts & incentives for being a returning customer on an average of every 2 years.

Awesome, thanks! I don’t mind traveling. I’m in Austin, so I’ve got Houston, Dallas, and sanantonio real close.

That’s ridiculous! I don’t think my dealer would so that to me. I’m
Watching them now on lots to see how long they are staying around for. There have been a few around for 7 days now. Which is a good sign for me. Slow selling. Typically on a popular new vehicle you can’t even get one for a month or two out unless you pre ordered. I think I’m in good shape. Hopefully sales are low and I can negotiate a couple thousand off.

But I also paid cash. So that may be a factor.

Sometimes. Depends whether they deal in volume or deal in selling extras.

After much deliberation (and no VooDoo truck available yet), I’ve decided to keep the Cement TRDP I already have (and own outright) since the cost to upgrade isn’t worth a sunroof and non-functional hood scoop.

I get the desire for a sunroof but even if you could get a new Pro in whatever color you wanted w/sunroof, I still wouldn't because a sunroof isn't worth having to deal with the TSS BS IMO. That and the pretty gay looking fake hood scoop (which looks really bad with the hood bulge scoopy thing). IMO, a '17 Pro in Cement is the holy grail of Tundra Pro's

All Just my opinion. To each their own but I think you are making the right call!

I’m with you. But I did find two things.

I like the hood scoop now. Took a bit for it to grow on me but I think it’s a good aesthetic touch. When I called insurance, my prices are lowered because of TSS

All in all I can almost fully agree with you aside from the fact that you got your color wrong. Quicksand is the baddest mofo on the road. ;)

I’d actually prefer it without a sunroof. Wind noise and chance for leaking in the future. I live in Texas so I hardly use mine.

I will admit, it was seeing a Quicksand 4Runner that even remotely got me interested in a Toyota (it was my first). It was my Cement T4R TRDP that got me started.

The mega slow drivetrain was what got me into a Tundra.

Call Shannon Brady at Charles Maund. They are high volume and can get the Pro's. Shannon is great to work with. We bought our 4-runner pro from him and our 2017 Tundra Pro through him.

That works - the only person we'll work with is Shannon from Charles Maund so if you've found a good salesman and they are giving you what you want, that's awesome. I've heard good things about Reds. Can't wait to see it.

I bought two Toyota’s from Maund and was really happy but my salesman was gone. Guy I got with was super nice, they just weren’t willing to work with me really.

    Truck is getting

    295/70r18 ride grapplers
    Fuel vector 18x9
Rigid RDS midnight light bar up front
Rigid midnight squares in the rear bumper
********* Audio setup dual 10” subs and components
    BakFlip MX4
    Nfab running boards
    Vivid racing steering wheel
    Black riveted pockets fender flares
Coachbuilder pro setup extra 1” up front and 1.75” in the rear
    Remote start

I think it’s going to be a really nice setup. Really excited about it

False. The dealership makes additional money for every loan they write. You pay cash, they don’t get that money. The amount they make on the loan depends on the model of car and bank. Some are flat rate and some are % of loan.

Lol. I’m basically done after that. Nfab bumpers when I screw the stock ones up and that’s a wrap for me.

When I bought my Subaru and I told them I was paying cash, they made the deal better. The first dealership I went to for a truck was trying to get my to finance just a little, because they were as big. I told them no.
