I’m waiting to see what BD does for Black Friday before I pull the trigger on the lights. Have to save where ever I can.

And since your getting the overland bumper your lights would be as expensive. I feel in love with the hybrid bumper and all them lights.

I choose to save by limiting my wife’s purchases. I figure I can do it at least two times before the divorce papers come in

The overland bumper (with full-height bar) just went up in the past day or two from $1650 to $2000. Yikes. It was $1650 when I ordered on Saturday.
Hopefully they don't pull that shady (illegal?) tactic of giving a BF "sale" to bring it back to $1650.

Just realized they're offering "free shipping" now....except they're not. Shipping for my bumper on Saturday was $250. Some maff: $1650 (orig price) + $250 (orig shipping) = $1900. Still 100 bucks less than the $2000 they're selling it for now.

So they effectively raised the price by 100 bucks, rolled the shipping into the cost of the bumper, and are calling it "free shipping." While that's not horrible or necessarily shady, I don't like it. Just be aware.

Edit: I don't want to really get on their case here....costs for everything are going through the roof - incl metal. Cannot over look that. Tyler over in the Valhalla's Shield thread (catty plate protection) had to recently raise his rates as well. So...just be aware that the price has gone up is all anyone should glean from my posts, and if you want one, jump before it (might?) go up again.

The just posted a new forum code:

    tundras.com10

    that’s the code to use.

I just added the exact bumper I ordered and used the code and free shipping the price was still $100+ What I paid for it. Guess I picked a good time to order. Wish I would have done it last year during Black Friday but oh well. You live and learn.

I like that Tyler at least gave the members here a heads up though and with plenty of fair warning (it was at least a week). I understand that C4 is a bigger company and they cater to more than just the tundra, but how long does it take to pop on the forum and say “hey guy, prices are increasing in a week; get your bumper orders before xx/xx if you want the existing price”. I dunno, well the Demello bumper (with the BF discount) is pretty much the same price. Decisions decisions

As someone who’s owned both demello (on an FJ) and C4Fab (tundra and 4Runner) I can tell you C4Fab is much much better in terms of quality of material and craftsmanship.

Prices are increasing because material cost is increasing. I was just lucky and got it before the recent increase. If I would have pulled the trigger last year I would have saved about $200 so lesson learned.

I didn’t know that was an option. Their website has mid and full height. I feel in love with the full height and all those BD light so that’s what I’m doing!!

The bumper was designed to fit the BDs. Others members have used other lights but had to fabricate brackets to mount them. I don’t have the equipment nor the skill to do that. So went with BD. The BD are good enough lights for my needs. Only thing is all the lights cost damn near 2x the amount the bumper did.

Yes.... BD did a terrible job with thier fogs. Thwy literally had to add a shutter to even make them close to meeting SAE spec. There is a huge fog light thread with a ton of data on Tacoma world if you want to look into it.

Aah, I didn't know that. I thought you meant in general that BD kinda sucks. I do have DD SS3 Max fogs as well and man they light up the night! Love them for back country roads at night to light up the median/shoulder to watch out for deer.

Edit: do you get a lot of flashing from oncoming cars b/c the Max fogs are too bright? I don't keep them on when there's oncoming vehicles cause I got flashed a few times...and they really are crazy bright.
