Anyone buy parts from Mag-Engines? Any surprise duty fees for US buyers? The parts you rec'd were OEM?

    Thanks,

    Roy

TRDshop wants $355 plus shipping. The UAE guys want $215, delivered.

The cheapest, other than Ebay, is Amazon at $323, delivered.

This is for a front axle actuator.

Thats the best price I could find through a Local Toy Stealer Programme.

Ordering via UAE Express sounds like a White Knuckle experience. Its alway Scary until its over. When its over its carnage or glory.

Let us know how it works out.

I will be sure to report back if I go UAE. The reviews of the seller are positive. I would just like to hear from someone in the US...if I can find such a person.

Saving $110 on a part that I hate buying in the first place is tempting. I am a locking-hub guy.

I ordered a RCF throttle body on eBay from a UAE seller, no issues and the part was brand new OEM.

Counterfeit OEM parts is a billion dollar industry. Keep a look out for a small sticker that will say Made in China.

If you want to be sure you get OEM I’d go through a dealer only. Why would some other company get better pricing on factory parts.

There is a pretty good video on counterfeit Toyota parts, almost impossible to tell the difference unless you have the two parts side by side.

$300 off MSRP plus no extra delivery fee doesn't pass the smell test to me. Not saying these situations don't happen, but feels like someone is/ will be taking a loss somehow. Best of luck to OP if they pursue this route.

I bought the ADD from Mag-Engines. It came in less than a week; no unexpected costs. I will report back when I get the old/new parts side by side.20210524_104004.jpg 20210524_104004.jpg 20210524_103924.jpg

That box looks sketchy: low quality black print instead of red, natural color cardboard instead of white.
The packaging looks sketchy too: I would expect it to be in a sealed plastic bag, not wrapped in brown paper.

Packaging looks fine to me. Look at this video, all oem parts looks to have the brown boxes and some have the brown paper wrap.
