I'm going to do something I wish I had done the first time. I'm going to make a thread about this so I don't make any other mistakes.

Looking at a 2016 Inferno Crewmax with TRD Off-road Package. What are some things I should check to see if this truck has?

    Is power rear windshield standard?
    Is 5.7L standard?
Is the 38 Gal tank standard?

^^ Those are all must haves for me.

The 38 gal tank was part of the SR5 upgrade package for my truck. It comes with the shifter in the center console, not on the column

Is there a picture of a specific truck you are looking at? The 5.7 badge would be a dead give away as well the column shifter to see if it has the bigger tank

    Another question would be:

Do they all come with a transmission cooler and tow package?

My only regret is that the SR5 TRD off road package with the bench seat didn't have the 38 gal tank available. My only complaint w my truck.

Ill dig into that for you. However, from what I remember, ALL 5.7's (at least for 2016) came with the towing package which has the tranny cooler, bigger alternator and bigger ring gear

Christ, this is sound like a whole different truck than what I have now. And I say that in a good way!

I thought the sr was the only build where column shift. Bench seats, 25 gallon tank were standard..and no badges even on the 5.7l

Is it the TRD off road 4x4? And it needs to be the SR5 up grade package with the bucket seats for the 38 gallon tank sliding rear window and nav. If it is the 5.7 it should have the tow package

I have exactly what you described. Everything was included. Not sure where you are but in Dallas, TX area, they also include sprayed bedliner and side step

When I was looking last month I found 2016 SR5's with nav etc that did not have the 38 gallon tank. It is like someone mention part of a package. A Toyota dealer should be able to verify off of the VIN if it has the 38 gal tank. I went to https://www.toyota.com and in the upper right is a tab called "owners", click on that and go to "Resources" then "vehicle specs" and click on that tab, then input the VIN. It told me if it came with the 38 gal tank. It also told me where it was sold and all the options that were installed and if they were factory or dealer installed.

In 2016, the bigger tanks were available for the 5.7's with the SR5 upgrade package. The easiest way to tell if a truck has it is if it has bucket seats with the shifter in the center console.

That is what I read on here but I did find 2016 SR5s that had the bucket seats with the shifter in the center console, nav etc but car dealer could not verify that is had the 38 gal tank. When you put the vin in to the Toyota site it tells you if it has the 38 gal tank. All of the Limiteds and up have the 38 so the SR5 is the only one that you need to check. It maybe that it specifically has to say "SR5 upgrade package" these didn't . They were loaded so I thought that they would have the 38.
