I see that from a previous post here.. to be honest, I can't recall if I ever received the second physical key at the time I got the truck. I wonder if I got it but stashed it. I was really referring to the second fob :)

Dealer won't know a damn thing! You would be better off pissing into a strong wind than waste your time calling the dealer.

Keep checking your my Toyota app and you'll see it show up in there (I was never notified in the app it was just there one day when I looked and then I got the key at my first oil change and about a six weeks later after having the second fob in hand I got the letter from Toyota that I could make an appointment). Think it was in the service campaign section under Health and Alerts. I repeat again there was no notification for me I just noticed one day after checking the key fob thread and I logged in and looked.

I was told by the dealer that I would actually get a notice via email. But you're saying it shows up in the app way before that? That sounds fine. I can't say ive ever been in the app, i'll take a look.

Yep I already had gone to the dealership and got the fob about 6weeks before I got a letter in the mail. Can't remember if I got an email or not.

I kind of roll my eyes when I see all these negative reviews on the Tundra. Mine has been flawless so far with the occasional creak over a hard bump but I love my truck.

I agree one key is better than the Ford alternative. What's worse, the F150 I had not only had missing stuff but the stuff it did have didn't work.
I think if the one key situation really crunches your nuts you should either not buy the truck or buy a fob for $275.

Agreed. The more I drive mine the more I like it and I'm using it much more than I thought I would especially on long trips.

How many miles do you have on yours?
8500 on mine. Nothing to ask the dealer to do other than second oil change and rotate the tires.

I bought a 2023 Tundra TRD and I didn’t have any of those issues. Did have to wait a year to get my key but now I have it. Just lifted it and put 35” on it. Love my truck!

    Hi All,
I hate to say it but I turned in my 2023 / 1794 Tundra, too much going wrong with it for me, I purchased it hoping to go into retirement with it, but no thanks. One thing after another and I can't take that chance keeping it. Latest thing was front spoiler motor quit, side of seat repaired 3 times, drivers seat extension was repaired twice, dealer scratched the leather putting it back together, recalls with the Transmission, fuel tank, Head liner falling down, driver window problems not coming down correctly..... WTF is next ??? This is my 5th Tundra, not very impressed to be honest, now I know why a bunch of them are for sale ( used ) on the lot.... Hope you all have better luck than I did..

Without beating a dead horse are any other SR base model owners having trouble. Minus a few interior rattles and minor wind noise I’ve given up on, the overall powertrain seems to be great and no major issues yet at 56k miles my 2023?

    Nitrogen filled tires!
Bought mine in June of 2023 - built in May of '23. To date it has been flawless - had the fire hazard final repair done - no big deal. 100% satisfied. BTW I've owned four Toyota vehicles prior to my Gen3 Tundra and this Tundra is by far the most impressive.

It is a very impressive vehicle! I agree, I just can't trust it when I'm retiring in another year, I traded in for a 25 Sequoia/ 1794.... Hopefully with no issues.. wishing you best of luck with yours, I can say my 2019 was the best out of all of them I owned

I'd driven it to the end of the 3 year 36K miles warranty and then decided the next move. Buy an extended warranty before the end of the third year - drive it to the end of the extended mileage/year term then sell/trade or drive into the dirt. None the less enjoy the Sequoia!

you do know the sequoia is just an suv body with the same drivetrain as the tundra?

Yes, the frame and the the style is still the same, drive train is manufactured in a different facility than the Tundra, that's why the Sequoia has no recalls on the motors like the Tundra does, at least that's what the dealer told me, I have 41K for miles on my Tundra, paid $67K for it, only got $46K on a trade in. They have a beautiful Platinum on the lot with 35k for miles, selling it for $51k...... Best to all my Toyota Tundra bro-ski's !!!

the V35 in the sequoia is not built in a different factory

Hybrids we’re not recalled anywhere since they can still move if the ICE motor breaks

all sequoias are hybrids, hence why they have not been recalled

your dealer is telling you wrong info
