True, doors are not 100% waterproof and have weep holes to drain any water that gets past the wiper trim at the bottom of the glass. But I've never experienced anything like what the OP is describing.
I bought my 2011 from a dealer an hour away. They searched the whole state and found 4 trucks that fit my criteria. When I picked one, the dealer traveled 300 mi to go get it and bring it back to their dealership. Not delivered. Someone went there and drove it back. And they gave me 1.9%. All before I ever stepped foot in their dealership.
My 2015 was bought locally. They didn't bend over backwards, but didn't have attitude either. A little haggling over interest rates, but otherwise painless.
Current 2021 was bought out of state and they were extremely friendly and accommodating.
My point is, experience is very dealer-specific. Manufacturers just build 'em. Dealerships have a monopoly on selling them. They all have their own way of doing business. Some are better than others.
But it's not a Toyota thing.

yeah, we spend so much time doing research on items like this and, then people have been buying houses with one or two visits (One hour total) and without any inspection last two years.

    @Fenelon
I assume you have multiple vehicles. What if you park the Tundra in a safe open shopping mall very close to a different Dealer at beginning of day. Drive away in another car. Call that dealer and tell them your wife lost the FOB. See how long it takes them to source you another one. Sounds like you could use 3 FOBS anway.

    Lots of stuff!
In 2019, I bought a Honda Ridgeline and shortly after the drivers door got touched by a fence and the door paint peeled off. I took it to Honda and they brought in a specialist and repainted the doors. No argument, they just did it and they also replace a sensor wire that was chewed by a rodent and covered that cost.

These guys went above any expectations for great service. I am thinking about getting my Tundra serviced by them!

A couple of weeks ago I was notified that I need a 6 month service on the Tundra so I took it in and asked them to do 2 things; 1) Early oil change 2,000 kms on the clock; 2) TSB on transmission sluggish shifting.

They basically told me the oil change isn't due so they wouldn't do it and the transmission was fine so they didn't do that either. All they did was look around and leave my hood with a bunch of hand prints all over it. So of a big waste of time for me.

I am trying to separate the dealership from the truck which are 2 different things. I will be going to a different dealership soon.

Sorry for the ramble but if you are stuck with the truck, try to make the best of it and seek out a better dealership, there must be another one you can deal with.

They run from $20 to $200 depending on the brand, design, and materials. The cheapest one now is at roughly $17 is based on the first design that came out. At the time and I had mine, it was being sold for a helluva lot more and everyone loved them. I’m not sure of some of the others, but mkvsupra forums should be up to date on them.

    https://www.google.com/search?q=supra+wind+buffeting+fix

I had a 2020 and it was great. I’d still have it, but it was totaled when an 18-wheeler crushed me at a stoplight from behind.

It's starting to feel like these posts are negative marketing brigading.
My '23 tundra is great, rides smooth, is quiet, and works as intended just like every other Toyota I've owned. The key thing is dumb, but it's certainly not a big deal and it's pretty well documented/justified. And who spends that kind of money without checking out the vehicle before signing?! I call bs.

OP when I bought my truck last month there were stickers on the driver's window, the owners manual and a piece of paper given to me during contract signing notifying me of the "key shortage" and IOU. IDK if they do that in the Great White North but if they did you have no room to complain about it.

The window seal can be fixed under warranty.

You didn't test drive or due diligence BEFORE making a large purchase, that's on you dude.

Not sure what op means by rocker but often the inner door frame does get wet. The seal for the door and frame is usually above the weep holes you mention. I’ve seen water streaming down the rocker panels when power washing the truck.

I re-read the OP. If it's an accurate description, the seal doesn't go all the way to the edge and so much water is getting to the inside o the door that it's actually coming inside the truck, at the bottom of the door, with the door closed.
If that's the case, I've never experienced this, even pressure washing. Definitely an issue.
I agree that a few drops of water on the rocker or in the door jamb is normal.

At the end of the day, the OP got a truck that made it past QC with a few issues. Either return the truck or fight with the dealer to have them all fixed.
I bought 2 out of 3 Tundras sight unseen and have never had an issue with any of them. Doesn't matter how much research you do, a truck with issues can still slip through the cracks now and then and some poor slob will end up with it.

It sucks to be unhappy immediately after agreeing to pay $65k+. All the more reason to only deal with dealers who will allow test drives, don’t charge a markup, don’t add extra crap you don’t want, etc. This is a big enough purchase for most people that you should stand your ground on your needs to make an informed decision. If that involves travel to other dealers, then you gotta do what you gotta do.

I don’t envy anyone who needs to make a new vehicle purchase for the foreseeable future.

ya don’t do that , they will tow you into the dealer , charge you for that, then order you another one, cut the key, program the fob and charge you the 400 anyway

just buy another one and be done with it, that’s what I did, not going to stew over it.

Well a Toyota dealer is offering what I paid including ttl of for 2021 on a new Tundra. After reading this thread I just keep what I have, ridiculous an owner is responsible for identifying issues on a 5 minute test drive. When I buy milk I don't sample it, when I buy toilet paper I don't sample it..... Toyota now has the wind problem on the Supra. WTF. Funny side story, my 911 had this LOUD whistle starting at 60 mph. I would have sworn it was the window trim leaking. We are talking 6 plus figure car. In the end the paint protection film installed aftermarket was not run to the edge of the side view mirror and generated turbulence. Two little round doubts on the PPF 100% eliminated the noise. Who would have thought, at least it was Porsche fault.

I think everyone needs to get over the key situation until global supply chains get resolved. GM sells vehicles that are outright missing features because they can’t get enough semiconductor allocations. Toyota sells a fell featured truck, but with only one key. Seems like a better option than a truck that will forever be missing features.

Back to my first comment about research, it’s been well discussed that the backseat has less legroom than the second gens. A lot of reviews mention this. In fact, you don’t even need to bust out a measuring tape. Toyota publishes the interior dimensions and you can look it up. It’s not 5 inches shorter; it’s like an inch or two shorter.

An even better solution is to just wait until supply chain issues resolve themselves. By then we should be in a recession, and there will be deals to be had.

To hell with this auto market.

Ok, my friend paid cash for this!
Active aero faulted out and the dealer would not come and get it "outside 30 mile limit".
2022 Porcha 911 Turbo S convertible so trust me it's not just us little guys.
Oh wait his brand new 2023 Mercedes was just bought back due to unrepairable active suspension issues!
Dealer had it for 4 months!!!

But you would figure they would be better and costing $200k on the 911 Turbo S just shows it just a machine made by humans - shit happens.

My wife really likes the Supra or the C8 corvette. Not sure about owning either in Colorado with the road conditions.

At least a C8 has rear weight bias, so it might go in light snow if you get caught out.

Pot holes will play hell with wheels and tires though.
