nice, thanks for the info!!...should help a bunch of people. i ended up doing xpel ppf full front (lights, bumpers, grill, fenders and hood), and rear quarter panels to cover flare scratches, rock chips and pinstripes from tight trails. it was definitely more expensive than $22 lol but I had more reasons to do it than flares. still considering doors. mine is an 08 so also wanted to preserve the paint to last another 12+ years. shop did a great job wrapping edges around so for a lot of it you don't even see the ppf lines. 10yr warranty.

Thanks for the video. I can see how the film protects the upper edge of the body. Does the body contact the truck on the lower/inside edge of the flares also? In other words, do the you need a second strip of protectant?

    Best,

Thanks for watching!...that strip is the only one needed to protect the paint, that’s the only spot where it would rub and possibly cause some damage...I’ll be doing a follow up where I’m going to remove my flares and see how well it works, hope that helps!
