You're right, it's the Banks pedal thing. They have a standalone model that doesn't need any gauges.

Slightly larger then 33's at the moment. Getting 35's in January. If I don't have my truck back by then I'll be installing them on my versa.

It’s not possible to install it on a 2018. The ecu is locked up and Bullydog has not cracked into it.

Thanks for getting back to me so promptly. I will definitely be picking one up from your shop when bullydog gets the ECU figured out. Is there any tunes that you would recommend that are worth the money for the 2018 and newer models? Thanks

Copy that. Not to thread jack, but in regards to the SABM, will the older kit fit the newer trucks? i have the old one that I removed from my 2013, but I saw that G-Tek upgraded at some point with longer flanges. I don't want to start drilling to find out that the older kit is too short.

I have the BDX. It was fine for my 2010 Tundra. It claims to be compatible with my 2013 Sequoia. Unless you think permenant codes are ok, it's not.

If they said sorry, we can't help that would be fine. Instead, they created a "case" (in APRIL) and I have been waiting for an "engineer" since.

Numerous calls have gotten me nowhere. I asked them to either buy it back or unlock it so I can sell it in July, crickets.

My point? Their customer service sucks and I will never buy another product and I will relay this to every thread and person that asks.

(also, I am not alone, numerous other Sequoia owners have had the same experience)

    Coming soon!
@dirtydeeds Keith, I just installed your 8” SS exhaust on my 2021 Tundra and LOVE it! On the BullyDog website, it appears the BDX model is now compatible with my 2021 5.7, but your website states that it only covers up to 2017. Is there a newer model, or have you just not updated that product detail page yet?

Also, I see BullyDog is now offering a pedal “Thruster” that I assume is their version of the Pedal Commander. Any thoughts on that device? Should I run BD for both pieces or stick with the BDX and Pedal Commander combo you recommend here?

Thank you all so much for your input here!

Their site will be more updated than mine. I get bombarded with emails constantly, so IF they did send an email with that info I wouldn’t have seen it. But I’ve now heard from several customers that it works:)

I don’t know about their pedal module. I wouldn’t hesitate to run one. But I’ve installed hundreds of pedal commanders. So I know that product for that use.

I got the Pedal Commander, it was one of the last mods I have installed in my truck and I wished it was my first. I got the Stillen CAI and BAMuffler on my truck, when I have the money I am eventually going to regear for my heavy 35s.

It PC was one of my earlier mods and then I got rid of it for a better and safer option.

It has no failsafe and the Bluetooth version has been know to fail due to the voltages.

The pedal commander is known to have surging issues and put trucks into limp mode. An update can cure the surging issues but there is no known fix for the voltage issue….which causes the limp mode.

Mine happened quite a few times. I ended up giving it away and getting the banks pedal monster

Thanks I haven't had any issues yet, but will look out of the surges.

I haven't used Bluetooth but after reading this I probably never will.

It's still pulling the Bluetooth voltages regardless..

Thanks for the feedback on the voltage issues @Tundra234 ! I loved the video from Mr. Banks!

The Pedal Commander definitely wins the style points, and the bluetooth makes it even more attractive if you had to hide it. While the preset buttons and combinations are cool, is it not just making the throttle more or less sensitive? While the Bully Dog Thruster looks ridiculous by comparison for $250, I feel like its dead simple design kind of pokes fun at the PC. It looks like it also uses the 10V OBD port? Now I guess it's just a matter of how smoothly it increase sensitivity? Will it be better or worse than the Banks? I'll look for some comparisons. Thanks everyone!

If I find out the BDX on the @dirtydeeds site is the part #40470 that I need, I'll start there for the real gains...maybe mess around with the Tow/Haul button a bit and see if any good reviews on the BD Thruster pop up.
