Buffalo Steak

Just happened by a buffalo farm the other day in SE WI, I’ll post a link. I’ve had the buffalo burger over the years, various places. I asked about other cuts, steaks & such, have had moose & elk.

The guy said buffalo steaks were on par with the moose & elk. We bought a few steaks & other items. I carefully grilled them, without over cooking. I have to say, they were the best steaks I’ve had in years, may not be saying much for our Walmart shopping.

They have a small store, scattered hours. Bring a few apples for the buffalo, easy to see them up close. If you want something different for your next grilling, easier than going to SD.

Best steak I've had is from Hearst Castle (San Simeon or online), carrot fed - not sure how much carrot but perfectly marbled in just the right places...
