My 14 SR5s brakes feel ok but barely ok, the truck is heavy we all know that. I have 22,000 miles. Thinking of upgrading I don't want to remortgage my house for a set of brakes. Can anybody recommend strong, fade resistant brakes for my SR5 Beast?????Screenshot_20180319-203257.jpg

just get some EBC pads. Night and day difference in my other car. I would wait to see how they feel before you dump money into rotors & upgraded calipers

I put yellows on my camaro, truck is still on original and I've not investigated yet to see what I'd run.

Yellows are dusty but pretty bitey

I was thinking green when the time comes. Don’t know if I should get new rotors when the time comes or turn them. Or upgrade!
It’ll be a while before that day.

Depends if you have money to burn. I put mine on turned advance-cheap-as-shit-autoparts rotors and they transformed how she feels and acts under braking.

I'm sure, once I get used to it I'll upgrade the rotors to something but for now, there's no need, 50 year old car stops faster than most modern sedans from just a pad upgrade.

I have the same issue, just ordered from rockauto.com powerstop front drilled/slotted rotors and powerstop brake pads for all four corners.

yes pads should be enough. I did change my rotors at 62K though. With big tires, they got wrapped pretty quick.

Have you ever flushed the brake fluid? No reason you should need pads at 22k.

You may get less fade changing out your rubber lines to braided stainless steel. www.crownperformance.com makes nice stuff for a good price. www.stoptech.com
has very nice setups and kits for replacing brakes.

Just by doing the front it was night and day results. Ive never used power stop before so ill see how long they last, but so far dramatic change in braking.

I like them so much i ordered the slotted for the rear. Stopping is night and day and i only did the front. If any of you guys/gals can give some insight on the proper way to remove the rear rotor id really appreciate it. I hera its not the same for the fronts.

I did not flush the brake fluid the Toyota dealer may have because it is light in color so it appears to be fresh. Maybe I just expect too much out of the brakes on a heavy truck
