Anyone experience the dash vibrating heavily from braking at high speeds? I’m thinking rotors. It’s not really my steering wheel that shakes though. Heavy middle dash vibration. Not like the dash is loose though.

I'm sure you know Tundras are notorious for warping rotors... Very high likelihood this is the source of the problem, however it's not absolute.

I don't recall seeing approximate current mileage in your post... and since it's an '07, I'd strongly encourage a thorough inspection of the front components; w/particular attention to wheel bearings, lower ball joints, and the rack.

If you're not going to be the one doing the inspection, I'd make sure it's being looked at by someone you trust that is extremely thorough. It takes a little bit of time to be done right and should not be done by the average lube tech. If you don't have someone you trust, consider adding a request for recommendations to your post for your specific area; good off-road shops usually know what to look for as well and can be a good resource.

I would second warped brake rotors. Not sure about anyone else, but my OEM ones lasted to 217k, just hot pad swap. I don't brake much nor ride the brakes; I do enjoy coasting as well as enraging whoever is following close behind me... I replaced my original ones with OEM ones which lasted 1 year, a trip through Santa Cruz mountains did them in. After that I went with Stop Tech slotted Cryo treated rotors all around to prevent warping. I want to say I'm about 3 years into them, maybe a little more, so far I'm happy with them. I'm having issue with my front calipers and need to be replaced. I'm at 280k+ sor far.

Your problem may not be warped rotors, but you may have hot spots. These are generally visible in the center of the rotor since this is where the the heat is greatest. The difference in the fix is that warped rotors may be able to be turned (machined on a lathe) whereas turning rotors with hot spots will not be successful as the hot spots will quickly return. I speak from experience, since I was a longtime brake mechanic in a prior life. Your best fix will be new good quality rotors and pads. What kind of driving do you mostly do? I installed a Powerstop Z36 kit all around because I tow my travel trailer a lot, and I am very satisfied with the performance even when I'm not towing.

And don’t forget to bed in the new pads to the rotors when you’re done
