    Something about great minds....

I've been thinking about the ICON add-a-leaf pack (or whatever they call it) and getting in on the Coachbuilder shackle group buy. Just need to figure out the right combo to keep the 3-3.5" range of lift.

Right now I've only got Icon shocks and bags on the rear.

Trailer work better for those duties? Hell, I use my trailer most of the time and I can load 3808 lbs in my bed.

How you like the RC-F? I have been really considering one for the retirement fun car. Seen some great deals on them since they are not a big seller.

Yea, I’m at 60K miles and from previous rigs I know the stock spring packs eventually flatten out.
I think I’m going to bite the bullet and do a full pack over the next year or so.
If it was a newer truck I’d do the shackles or AAL for sure.
I did these Toytec adjustable shackles so I could figure out how much lift I want in the rear after adjusting everything, and also it was the cheaper route until my springs start sagging. I still don’t know exactly which way I want to go with bumpers and whatnot which will require further adjustment (weight).

LOL - I know! I have trailers at work too! And bigger trucks to use. Original plan was to use my company truck and have a driver grab it for me and deliver to my house, but at the last minute the seller of the seed said “uh, I’m really really low, and not sure I can wait another day” so I had to fly up to grab the seed without any planning at all to secure the deal.

Yep, shit happens. Been there. A new leaf pack should work well for you. I’ve had to swap out a couple on my Tacoma’s.

Good points. New bumpers would definitely add a good bit.

Yes sir! I purchased an N2 bottle and gauges. Ultimately the issue was the reservoir chamber collapsed (due to no N2) and then dirt/debris was in the reservoir chamber and after charging the reservoir with N2 it slowly leaked out.
Took apart the chamber, and cleaned it good - recharged, and all is well

    And happy as hell lol.

I love my RC-F. It has all the Lexus niceties and is a dream to drive slow and mellow, then it opens up to a snarling beast when I want it to. I've had cars with more HP and much better for the track, but not many I have enjoyed driving better. I've owned a lot of sports cars over the years, and this is my favorite behind only my MkIV Supra. Of course, everyone is different in their tastes and likes.

Thank you!! It’s been the wife and I’s dream to bring up kids on land, and it took a few years but we finally pulled it off.
We’re in WA state, about 20-30 Min out of Portland, OR.

Ps - it’s a LOT of Fing work LOL!!
But like I tell my wife, every day I crest the driveway- it’s like I’m on vacation.

Side note: What setting do you use the kings when your offroading?? I'm still going through the tweaks just curious

Thank you! Link your build-page if you have one.
On Kings, I only have adjustable rears, which I keep on the softest setting when off-road. Headed up to hunting camp with a loaded bed I click about 12 or so up which is around 1/2 way I think.
I really wish I went front adjustable!

Thank you, it does for sure.
To the point where it actually feels odd, and like someday I could lose it all. I try not to think that way, but by nature I was built to think that way apparently.
Very grateful, that is for definitely Fing sure!!!

Nice!! I eventually might swap out to adjustable.
Have you noticed a difference in how the clicks change the ride - front to rear? I can clearly tell in the rear, and I’ve wondered if it’s the same way in the front.
If I did front, I might have them revalved to a softer setting as well.

Its night and day when you adjust it. I started from the softest setting and started clicking away torwards stiffer. I change my settings by a two click method if I like it I write it down or take a mental note. On the road I'm two clicks from the softest setting and it rides great. Offroad havent had much testing yet but I'm planning to go out next weekend and really test it out.

Yes sir, that’s exactly the way I think!
I know a lot of business folks that make decisions I never would, due to risk.
At the same time, I know you have to spend money to make money. It’s a hard line to walk.
I’ve just tried my hardest to be thankful for what I have (and teach my kids that), treat my employees the best I can, and learn to pray the economy doesn’t take a dump like it did in 2009 :D
My knees are getting tired, and I’m trying to prepare for the worst :D

ETA - you have some awesome rigs Ron!!!

I missed it before, but what rifle is that? Almost looks like my Ruger American Predator, except the stock's different.

Absolutely beautiful rifle! What do you generally run for ammo? I only recently got my 6.5, and I sighted it in on 129 grain Hornady, but would like to load some heavier bullets in the 140-147 grain range.

I normally reload for almost everything I shoot (9mm/45/.308/30-06/5.56)- but this was a last minute purchase before hunting this year so I was running the Hornady Precision Hunter with a 140gr ELD-X bullet. For game animals the ELD-X is arguably the most effective bullet at 400+ yards.
This isn't my most accurate rifle so I won't spend countless hours trying to bench-test match ammo. I'll probably take the ELD-X bullet and slap it in some Lapua Brass and use that primarily for hunting. I think using match bullets would provide better results but they're not the best option to hunt with.
I'd imagine your barrel is a 1:8, so I'd definitely try a heavier bullet and see how it shoots. If it's a 1:8.5 or 1:9 the lighter weight bullets would most likely be your best bet.
