Here’s how it turned out - mid way with one new and one old and with both new, finally the view from the drivers seat.

That looks decent. Where did you buy them from? If you're selling the old power fold mirrors they are worth alot more than you would expect but I would hang onto them untill you know you happy with the new ones.

If you remove the driver's side kick label there is a wire you can tap into that powers the rear cargo light. The puddle lights will come on from the switch inside or from the unlock and lock on the fob.

My old ones are not power fold - these Boost Auto ones required a wiring solution to addd the fold. I guess the non-power fold stock ones are not worth a lot !

The stock mirrors are not worth much. Not worth selling. Hang onto them incase you trade the truck in.

Got mine installed a couple of weeks ago. They are nice and work well. It would be nice if the would extend more perpendicular to the truck.

The bottom convex mirror sees to much of the truck at its furthest out adjustment IMO

I get just the back quarter panel from about the rear tire in mine. It’s perfect to me

Im sure has a lot to do with seat position. I’m fairly tall, so the farther back one goes, the more this affect is increased. I can see the entire side of the bed, the rear doors and the front door handle. Not a show stopper, just would be a nice to have.

Also still getting used to the larger upper mirror not being convex. The lower mirror gives a nice wide view, but is difficult to tell if the car is clear.

My resin rear bumper caps are due today so will get to installing the BSM this weekend so will help remedy that with another data point.

Ok so I got my mirrors. They look great. I have a 2013 tundra platinum, so apparently don’t have pin 17 on my mirror harness for running lights. I ended up wiring in another pin so the front lights on the mirror act as DRL’s. Works great. Wired the back up lights to an aux switch that I already had in the truck.

The mirror are massive. I like the look of them from the front with the DRL and sequential blinker, but I gotta say that’s about it. I towed my car trailer today with them and found the zoom on the pass side terrible (I’m sure it takes some getting used to) and the lower piece on the mirror is hard to use given the top part is zoomed in. Have to almost use the bottom one as a standard mirror and the top piece as a specific picture at the trailer or rear tail of truck. Drivers side isn’t too bad but still a little off.
Power feature works well as I had the feature OEM. Mirror memory works fine.

I just removed them from the truck and will leave them in the box unless I tow the camper that we are getting soon. Even then, might just leave OEM mirrors. I wanted to like the boost auto ones so badly and ended up convincing myself that I needed them and would like the look.

the OEM ones are far superior in most ways.

might end up selling these, as boost auto won’t accept a return since they’ve been mounted. Anyone looking for:
    07-13 tundra mirrors
    Chrome
    Power fold
    Smoked lense
    Sequential turn with running 2.0
    Start up sequence
    Defrost on top and bottom
    High power backup led

    let me know!

I have a problem with my BSM. I had a slight fender bender and just got the truck out of the shop today and I have a BSM and RCTA malfunction. The shop said they didn't mess with anything near the sensors or mirrors and I can't really dispute that.

Any ideas on troubleshooting this problem, or should I just call Boost a call and see what they say. I know that some have had a mirror glass problem, but neither of the BSM lights in the mirrors are working so it seems it may not be my problem.

    Thx

Calling Boost couldn't hurt. Have you disconnected your battery and let everything reset? Who knows what the shop did, and it could just be a simple trip. I'd start with a battery reset and see if the problem persists.

Its a simple and free solution that often times either solves it or tells us its not simple

If that doesn't fix your problem, you are outside of my knowledge depth. But we have others who can hopefully chime in.

You know that the BSM/RCTA sensors are in your rear bumper, right? If the shop was fixing your bumper, I’d be checking all the wiring in the bumper from the sensors to the harness connections near the trailer hitch. You’ll see errors like that if there’s a shorted or faulty connection between the sensors, the CANBUS system, and the instrument panel.

Yes, I am aware the sensors are in the bumper. I’ll try to check those connections today. Thx
