I offer candy to the kiddos wine or whiskey to the moms and dads. It is not only about the kids at my house every one gets a treat.

That said, I'll inform the fam we're skipping Loomis and heading to Auburn for Halloween

Kidding aside, we do something similar. Load up a wagon with beer and wine and head out with the kids and friends.

The wine wagon is what we called it. My kids are too old now but the little one used to get tired and ride in the wagon...a lot of houses can be tricked or treated before a 12 pack is over

I'm into putting an empty bowl outside on the porch with a sign that says "please just take one". Then, go inside, turn off the lights and go to bed.

I take the week of Halloween off, several reasons,

1, I love Halloween and that time of year
2 normally black powder season falls on that week so if I want to hunt, I can
    3 I love Halloween
4 I have a tradition Halloween night I light the jack o lantern and watch the original 1978 John Carpenters HALLOWEEN...my all time favorite Halloween scary movie.

    The first is the best,
2nd was pretty good picked up the story line.
3rd, Season of the witch was ok, I don't like the fact it left the story line like it did and the rest jumped the shark

Rob Zombies remake is great, but in a different class.

I just pass out candy. I'm over going to the bars on Halloween, even though in years past I saw some amazing costumes and some scantily clad ladies.

My kid has never been into candy (I know, right?!! :notsure: ), so he doesn't see the benefit of walking door to door to beg for candy for his parents. :hungry: But he's a good sport and will do both sides of our block to let the neighbors see how he's grown. One of us will go with him, while one hands out candy. We finally got an old washtub to use as a fire pit in our driveway :bananadead: so, along with several others in the neighborhood, we'll stage outside so we can drink and chat with whoever comes by.

Who are we kidding though? I'll be lurking on Tundras.com. :spy:

It's a Tuesday night. Lights out in the house by 5 so I can wind down after work without interruptions. Zombie movie and a glass of scotch around 7. Then I'll be in bed by around 9, so I can be up for work the next morning. Always gotta watch a zombie movie on Halloween.
