I just tried to place my compressor in that spot. There is no way it would ever fit there. 2012 - 2nd gen tundra.

From the looks of it, there is still a little room in front of the compressor towards the air box.

    My 2 cents....
If you make it fit tight but not touch the airbox, it would be better than siitting close to the insulation on the firewall (which may turn out to be a non issue) It may make servicing the air filter a little more difficult but shouldn't be a deal breaker.

You can always torture test it by running the compressor and monitoring the temp of the insulation. The compressor may get hot but the fan on the backside will keep air moving back there so maybe that will keep the insulation from getting too hot. And who knows....maybe this will be a non issue. Hell I'm willing to try it if you want someone to guinea pig it for u.

I did try to install it with the compressor already mounted. Definitely doesn’t fit in there since the legs are so long on the mount. But I never tried to remove he airbox or any other options like that. That’s a good idea tho. I believe the stock airbox is only a few bolts so might be worth it to have the extra clearance. Going to try that next time I get a chance!

That is a good point. I’m going to try and move the holes forward to move it closer to the airbox. Also thought about making it at an angle to drop the rear down too.

Thank you for your input. I currently do not have the twin wired up but I think I can do that fairly easy once I get it fit right and I will do a test run. Also curious to see how much difference it makes from the single.

Count me in for the dual compressor mount. My compressor just arrived and I’m itching to get it installed. Thanks for the constant progress updates. Nice to see you’re doing quite a bit of R&D.

Are these or any other compressor mounts available? I just bought a single through the group buy, so now I need a mount for it.

What’s up guys! So FINALLY!! Today (Friday 9-7-18) I am in the shop making more of these mounts! Has been difficult to get into the shop lately since my boss has been busy with some family things and the holiday. But now we are good to go. Trying to make as many as possible this weekend until we run out of material. I will continue to come to the shop after hours and make more next week.
Thanks again for hanging in there with me. I’ll post up some photos later today of the final mounts

how much room is under the mount? I'm considering using one of these as a fuse block mount, but would need room underneath for wiring.

Im sure this would work fine for a fuse block mount. Probably the single mount will work fine for your needs? The single mount has roughly 1” or so under the mount. The twin is lowered so it’s very tight. Maybe 1/4”- 3/8” below the twin mount.

Was able to get 8 twin mounts made Saturday. Sanded drilled and bent up! So far everything is looking good besides one part... I messed up my measurement for the added leg for an extra mounting point. It came out too short so I’m not able to weld that leg onto the mount. No big deal tho I just have to make a few new legs. Once I get those legs made all I need to do is weld them on and these bad boys will be ready to go! Here’s some photos to show you what I’m talking about.

Here is the added leg that was too short.

What are the dimensions of the mounting surface on the single?

Any way to get one with the cut out on page two of the attached pdf, instead of the ARB mounting holes? PM me if you don't want to clutter this thread.

The dimensions are 4 1/4” wide and 5 1/2 long on the top surface. Looks like it’s a good size for that part you need. All of my mounts have the holes in them already... but I can always fill the hole with weld and try to cut out that hole for you to those PDF dimensions. If your interested in trying that PM me and we can discuss more then.

I have the same intake on my truck, any chances I would be able to fit a twin mount back there or is the single my only option. I really need it to mount my extra electrical accessories without having to drill into the body.

@cooper4x4 - I designed the following bracket for the bussman rtmr and had Power Trays cut and bend it. They have the file to make more, you will just have to locate and drill the mounting holes. Then in the future you could add a compressor using @Bannock452 mount
