Before pics can be found on the very first post of this thread, but I spent the last couple weeks renovating my boat.

Removed the ugly old stripes and logos. Replaced seat cushion, hatches, rod holders, registration numbers. Followed by a fresh buff and wax inside and out.

Currently looking a little bare so debating putting newer logos back on each side of the hull.

Its actually growing on me as well, but I had some decals that would have looked great if they would have been better quality. The vinyl was sticking to the outer layer and coming off with it so I tossed em. Heres a pic before they came off:

Well I sold my baby today, bittersweet feeling. Really didnt want to let her go but can't go with a bigger boat without selling this one first. Excited for the next boat though!

Headed out Monday. Hopefully most people will be calling it an early day for the 3 hr drive back to San Diego. It's a zoo out there today and tomorrow, lake Martinez/ Colorado river. The water is about 80 degrees right now.

I would normally say you can't sink a SeaDoo or Scarab jet boat, but there's always the exception....

Lowe 1240 jon. I have it set up for stillwater fly fishing. One day I'll have cash for a bigger boat and a place to park it. LOL But until then, this gets me out on the water much more comfortable and efficiently than my pontoon boat or float tube.

I like it. Boat is 5 years old and we have almost 300 hrs on the motor over past 6 summers. Have only done annual maintenance/winterization. Runs quiet. Lots of power and if I keep it low RPM, gets fairly good hours/gallon.

My bay boat had been sitting for a few months because I use the Jon boat more in the winter for freshwater fishing and the bay boat in the summer for saltwater. When I cleaned it up last weekend I found this bird nest underneath the motor on the transom. Figured that was a sign it's time to take it out  Took it out to the gulf and it ran beautifully. This was also the first time towing with the Tundra for me. My last truck was lifted, so I've gotta get a hitch without the 3" drop lol. The trailer tongue is sagging a bit. It was nice to be out in the Gulf again. Looking forward to the summertime

While the boating "season" is year round here in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia, winters can be cold (relatively speaking) and windy. Finally got out for a nice 25 mile slow cruise yesterday. My boat is a planing hull, but I prefer tooling along at hull speed like an ol' fart on a trawler.

Come to think of it, I guess I AM and ol' fart.
