Do it! If you look into any of the Sea Doo jet boats, hit me up, I've done my research on them haha. I have had mine for just over a year, we love it. Now we are trying to save for a bigger one haha.

Here is another shot of our current setup.

20' Ranger Bass boat w/ 200hp Mercury. Saving up for a Malibu Wakeboard boat currently! Absolutely love being on the water, fishing and water sports combined.

What does one of those run used? Are they big enough for a few people?

Usually between $9000-12000 for one that is in top notch shape with little use. It is a fuel injected four stroke, which is the only engine I would recommend in a jet boat. Very reliable, very easy.

This is more of a fun boat, fast (supercharged 215hp) sharp turns, doughnuts, pulling tubes, not one for dropping an anchor, drinking, eating, etc.

It only fits 4. When you have two young kids it's perfect for cruising and ripping around. When you want to tube you need a teen or older to be a spotter, if the kids aren't big enough to be on the tube alone, one needs to sit out and we need a 3rd adult on board.

A bigger boat would solve that.

Do we have a resident Mercury outboard mechanic?

My 2004 75 hp 2 stroke was overheating last trip. Wasnt peeing right so I'm thinking its the waterpump impeller, and I just happen to have one since I planned on replacing it soon anyway. Just need some tips on the procedure.

Hopefully its a DIY job since whats currently in my boat mod savings is going towards a new trolling motor.

Does anyone on here own one of these? Been doing a little research after seeing one in person and these things are badass! It's a mix between a kayak and a microskiff, and between the 3.5 hp motor and the pushpole you can tackle the flats and get to places you have never been in a boat to hunt down snook/redfish etc. It's a one piece rotomold that is 1/2" thick and comes with a built in livewell/fish cooler and a big storage area under the seat and drafts in 3" of water fully loaded down with fishing gear and 1 person. Also love that you don't need a trailer, weighs only 150 lbs so you can pull it into the bed with a bed extender and strap it down and drop in ANYWHERE that you can back up next to the water at. 60 mile range on 3 gallons of gas...

May have found my next toy.

That would be fun for piling the flags but would not go offshore like in the pic about lol looks like a paddle board but much more stable and practical.
What are they selling those for

Yeah I definitely wouldn't take it offshore lol. It is super stable though and is built for stand-up fishing. Also love the design where any water that comes on goes right out the back. They are $1,750 brand new for just the hull. Could add a brand new 3.5 horse motor and a decent pushpole and keep it under $3k. I'm gonna wait until I find a good deal on a lightly used one that's already setup similar to how I would set mine up. This thing would be perfect for me because most of my redfish spots usually take me about 20 minutes to get to in my boat, but with this thing I could drive my truck all the way out close to where I fish and drop it in anywhere and not have to travel through any type of chop to get to my backcountry spots up in the creeks and stuff.

My 2 favorite spots to fish would only be about a 3 minute drive through the flats in this little thing.

Also would absolutely LOVE only putting $9 in gas each trip instead of $50 and not have to spend 2 hours cleaning the boat when I get done fishing.

Only downside is in the name "Solo". Can't bring any buddies fishing with ya on this thing lol.

Sounds like it fits your needs! I was gonna say check out the Gheenoes but you do need a trailer. I have one for duck hunting and it's a lot of fun.

Would be cool to just throw it in the bed and go.

Saw a couple of guys here in south Louisiana a week ago with 4 or 5 of them. I meant to look them up. Sounds a little spendy for what you get.

    @CaptTyler

You know anything about Action Craft flats boats?

May have an opportunity to get a project boat for only $2000. Its a 2002 18 foot coastline series tournament edition with a 135 yamaha that looks flawless but hasnt ran in some time. Includes nice magictrail trailer / jack plate / trim tabs / trolling motor. Hull is solid just needs to be cleaned up.

Thinking about scooping it up and selling my Largo.

I know a lot about them, they are an excellent boat. Probably one of my favorite flats boats under 20'. I love the fold up bench seats and they have always had fantastic flats boats. They were designed for live bait fishing here in south Florida.
The company was recently sold and purchased and they're in full swing in Ft Myers.
The motor I can't tell you as much about, you'll just have to run it or find out what's wrong with it.
    I think you'd it a lot.

Sweet thanks! The motors gonna be the deciding factor for sure. Compression check supposed to happen next week. If I can get it going again plan to restore it for redfish tournaments.

I hate winter time and staring at my boat sitting there looking all lonely and shit. I'm considering trading her in though for a deck boat. Anyone got experience with Tahoe (I really like the 1950) or StarCraft.
