For guys who did this, how much did it end up costing you? Any shop recommendations near upper Orange County?

$200 would be the max I would think. It's not that hard. Oh, and I bought relentless plates from CL for $15

Body mount chop. Cut the frame, weld in pre fabbed plates, and paint so it doesn't rust. Adds more clearance for bigger tires.

This is my tires clearance to the body mount. Still need to have my BMC done.

Sometimes it'll also be called a CMC for cab mount chop.

If you have a hand held grinder, it is easy to do, i am going to do my Tundra. I did my Tacoma and never bothered welding the covers back on, i drove it for 160,000 miles that way, and sold it that way also.

Thanks for all the info guys. My neighbor says he is too busy to work on my truck at the moment. Any recommended shops around Orange County?

@Gibzki I’ve been watching 88Rotors on YouTube and the guys look like they’re in SGV (South El Monte)...it looks like they work a lot of Tundras lifting and BMC.

I’m going to contact them today to get a quote for myself for a BMC

Update! 88 Rotors quoted me $280 for a BMC.

Mine was done by @SpeedFreek from TW. He is in Vista though.

CMC, relentless fab plates and pinched/cut the metal around.

@TheBeast Thanks for the link on the plates. This will definitely save some $$

JBM quoted $220 without the plates, it’s safe to say that it would be cheaper ordering the plates from Relentless Fab
