Thanks Robert! Makes me think they all can be done in plexiglass. Those mammoth guards are crazy expensive.

Got em in! I really like these. But now debating on the rears. They are really visible in the rear. I like how they’re tucked away in the front. C786E324-648E-418E-868F-7340FE4A45F9.jpg68E9F4CB-6CAF-4775-B016-702139520D3C.jpg

Did a drain/fill on the transmission fluid before my cat covers get welded on. Drained 4 quarts then filled with fresh. Transmission shifts super smooth now. Can’t believe a small drain/fill would make such a difference.

Ok, full disclosure, homies. The goddamn, mutherfuckin, piece of shit, asshole, son of a bitchhole paint peeled inside my headlight. It’s at the top of the bezel. I’m not taking these apart again. I opted to put eyebrows on top of the lights. Went with a matte black wrap, but I may change it to blue later. I’ll see how it looks in the sun for a bit.

I bet that eyebrow is barely noticeable from 10+ feet away. And upclose, that lines up so well. As always, well done Geno!

Well, from 10 feet away the screwed up paint isn’t noticeable. But it bugs me even when I’m in the house. But thanks!!!

Cat protection plates welded on! I have a little peace of mind with these. California is getting hit hard, and if all these do is make me feel better about parking in all these damn garages here, that’s ok with me.

Project day. I’ve wanted some light bar brackets for behind the grille for the spot lights. Right now my spot lights bounce with that flimsy crossmember. So I copied a certain company that makes them. I have some leftover aluminum from my compressor install, so I decided to make some for free.
First I removed the air deflectors behind the grille. Then I just cut a piece a cardboard to fit, utilizing two of the mounting points for the deflector, and the bottom will mount to the stud holding the crossmember. The black fender clips are just for placement, I’ll use bolts and washers for the installation. 71DF0031-C58D-4AB2-B031-AA803835CF51.jpg624D110A-2CD2-4ED2-B712-19A57F635521.jpg BB1236BC-2DFA-44FF-815A-FA4FD4F37560.jpg1B1B2342-08F9-42C8-8789-C6D69641AB2F.jpg

Coming along. Bent the aluminum pieces in place. Brazed the inside of the bends and then self etching primer and Rustoleum high performance flat black. Done! I put these lights in the center of the new brackets, but I can move them up or down to allow for a second pair. 1B3546D8-7CEE-4454-BFC4-3489FC50A23E.jpg32525AB8-4EC1-4549-92CC-8D4D4631F1BC.jpgC81F5170-2E79-420F-B594-EF4A19EE142E.jpg30BE9B86-6DB6-434B-9C29-D60E5C1411D5.jpg

Well I decided to go all out on the engine cover paint. Everything was cleaned with alcohol and wax/tar remover. Then sprayed with Bulldog adhesion promoter, then Rustoleum Cobalt Blue, the same metallic Granite as my wheels, and Professional black. Masking between coats took the longest, but got it done in a weekend. Everything got clear coated, then ordered this intake tube from Amazon.
