Agreed. Should be on the dealership to change out seals correctly to fix the leak the first time. Not try something easy and when thats not right charge more for additional services.

Totally agree Brian. So now if he pays out what the dealership wants, that is 1300.00 for two 8.00 seals to be replaced.

I sure hope your paying for parts only and no labor.
No way in hell any mechanic would be into the axle that far and not swap out a 7.50 seal.

I learned that the hard way one time while swapping out a torque converter in my “hot rod” in high school. My dad told me to swap out the input seal. I didn’t want to spend the 2.50. Sure as hell, when I started the car back up, leaked like a broken water damn. So my dad laughed and said “son, I’m not half as stupid as you think I am, and this was the hard lesson you are learning tonight...”
Instead of racing, mounting my girlfriend, and drinking (in no particular order), guess what I was doing?

Ok so final update till it leaks again lol.
They changed the wheel bearing and seal this time. Which should.of been done the first time.
Oh and yes some of the techs that work here apparently don't give a rat's ass.
But apparently it's fixed I'm gonna put about 500 miles on it by.monday so we'll see if it still leaks.

I was wondering if the bearing was going out and wiping the seal(s).

Hopefully this fixes your issue, since you use the truck for work.
