Good gawd. That brings back memories. My Dad had a kick ass '69 with a 352. I loved that truck.

 

Thanks! It’s my brother in laws, absolutely perfect. In 1997 I drove it 700 miles straight thru from Pittsburgh to Myrtle Beach, unrestored, no power steering, and you both know what brakes they had. I slept for 2 days.

 

Do you have a link to those Omega clamps you used for the RTT? I had the little steel bar that comes with most tents ...

Thanks my friend, I consider that quite the compliment! It’s been a bit of a learning curve, these desert guys are wallet killers.

Soooo glad you and the fam were able to make it. I'm amazed you can drive that fast with the family. I'm afraid of what you could do alone.

 

Even though my fam is much more likable than me, next trip is solo. It’s like having good on one shoulder and the devil on the other, go faster, no dummy you have precious cargo. On the other hand the drive to and from is 100 times more dangerous...

Ha! I made scrambled eggs yesterday and he would not eat them, well played sir. I want to do a long travel truck, but not my 18. Would like a regular cab short bed, full cage, back halved. It will happen, but gonna take some time for sure.

 

Can I get some more please? This promises to be one for the books.
