I have a 2017 sr5 blazing blue. I hate the chrome bumper ends. Has anyone been able to find a wrap that matches the blue (8T0)? I tried to search here and on google and have come up empty. Any leads would be much appreciated.

    Good evening all!
I used the same color and brand but in matte finish. At the time a couple years ago, I couldn’t find the Orcal 970 gloss in small size, only big rolls which were expensive. I clear coated it after the wrap was installed and it came out a great match. Cannot tell its wrapped unless you knock on the rear bumper to know its chrome underneath. Very happy with it. Now, I would have loved to have the gloss which is now available in a smaller roll. Would have saved me the extra work of clear coating and polishing.
Also, a side note, I just upgraded my manual slide back window to a factory power horizontal slide that is available on the Limited Double Cabs. And I use it frequently!;)

I ordered these Oracal vinyl letters for the Pro grill in “Night Blue Metallic”. This was the decal company’s BBP color match. It looks like a perfect match. I ordered a larger sample of Oracal “Gloss Metallic Night Blue” which appears to be the same. I’ll post another photo when I receive it. Also looking to wrap the bumpers caps.

Wow that looks like a perfect match. I'm interested in doing my front corners but that might be above my pay grade.

I’m really interested in finding out where you got your leeds on the Blazin blue wrap material
And your back window too. Any info would be appreciated if you can. Your truck looks great.
    Thanks for your time. Ter.

Thanks! I ordered (2) 1’x5’ FT pieces for the rear. This was the smallest size offered and more than enough. The next size is 2’x5’ FT. This is what I ordered for the front (2x). Hopefully I‘ll be able to wrap the front without reordering!

I only have to do the fronts and was hoping a single 2x5 would be enough. But with no vinyl experience I imagine more is better.

‘This was my first try and I completely defer to anyone who reads this that has more experience. Tools...a trimming knife, a soft felt squeegee, I also used a microfiber application pad for smoothing (my own test) and a heat gun.

I made a few mistakes. I thought I had thoroughly cleaned the surface area. Clay barred the chrome, etc...during one stretch, I got below the cap and found some dirt of course. Lost adhesion on the vinyl. So I had to trim that piece closer to the edge than I wanted. Tip...clean and clean some more.

The second cap went much better...had some experience, learned a little. To me, the trimming was more difficult than expected.

I watched some YouTube....Premium Autostyling has a couple of Tundra wraps. Not to instructional and a lot of quick cuts but I did see a few things. I watched some vids from CK Wraps. No Tundras but good tips/techniques for heating and stretching. Also, post heating of the vinyl once wrapped is important to keep the shape...I wouldn’t have known that.

It’s not hard. I give myself a B...just be patient with it.

Someone with more experience, might pull that off. I didn’t want to run short...get a side done and not be able to complete the job. I will see if I can use one 2x5 piece for both. Whenever this happens, I’ll update.

Got my ass kicked today with the front cap wrap challenge. Maybe I overstretched it, I’m not sure. The photo doesn't really tell the story. But in the sun, the wrap had a purple tint and I wasn’t happy with it. After a complete front demo, I punted. Pulled off the wrap and put her back together. I have enough for another go. Think I’ll take a break.

Front caps are tricky. I watched the guy who did mine he under charged me think like $75 to do front and rear.after he was done he was like I should of doubled that price lol. Mine have been good for about 3 years now

I’m still waiting for a sample to arrive from R-vynil
I’ve done many decals, sides of vehicles and a few 20X15 walls in cantinas with beer murals. Next challenge is wrapping mirror caps front bumper caps possible hood bulge and grill.
I just hope it’s the same color I've seen on this thread. Hoping to start out with 12’ X 60” roll.
It’s going to kick my ass no doubt.
