Owning a 2012 Tacoma for a little less than a year and a new travel trailer for just 2 weeks, I knew it was time to trade in the Tacoma for the truck of my dreams, the Toyota Tundra. I originally wanted the double cab, but I'm so glad I ended up going with the crewmax... that extra room is awesome. I traded in my Tacoma and got my 2015 Super White Toyota Tundra XP Black CrewMax on May 23, 2017.

The 2012 Tacoma I traded in:

My 2015 Tundra XP Black after owning it a few days:

The XP Black package includes 20" Gunner Wheels:

The owner before me added a nice Black tool box and a Ranch Hand Bumper Guard:

Then I took over. The first thing I wanted to do was to get my brake controller installed - this was a must for pulling my camper:

Next was the Salex OCD Organizer Tray for the middle console. That space is great, but it puzzled me as to why Toyota just made the Abyss:

The next mod was a stubby antenna:

Then I decided to get a 3" ReadyLift and wrap my wheels with some 33" Toyo Open Country M/T 12.50x20 Tires:

What she looks like with the lift and new tires. I've also added the 4-PC AVS:

Added a star to match the white/black theme:

New towing mirrors installed. Decided to do it myself and save a little money:

Looks great bud. Love that monster Ranchhand. Probably the only brush guard I'd purchase.

Nice truck. Looks great so far. What are the plans after the tow mirrors?

Thanks guys! I'm not quite sure what I'll add next, but my plans are to get Spyder headlights, Spyder tail lights, DAP tune, chrome delete, roof wrap, and spacers. I would already start loading the cart up, but wife keeps me in check on the spending, fortunately. I'm still shocked at the price of accessories for trucks. Only time I did any mods for a vehicle was little imports back in my younger days, and everything was cheap.

Towing mirrors installed. I was going to let the shop do it, but ended up installing them myself. It went much easier than I imagined, thankfully. I picked them up on Amazon from the seller ECCPP. They're actually good quality mirrors similar to the factory mirrors.

How do you like those Tow mirrors now that you have had them for a bit?

Did you have any rubbing issues with the 33x12.50s ? How much space you have from the control arms ?

And just like that, he's back! It has been a while. Life happens and a lot of work.

Around the last time I shared a post, my son was turning 16. I work from home, so I figured I would let him drive my truck until he could save for his own vehicle. During this time, he totaled the truck. It was in the shop for around 9 months. They replaced the chassis and a lot more. He added audio and true dual exhaust. Years later (I still drove my truck when I needed it), he bought his Mustang (himself!) and I am stuck undoing what he's done and fixing it. I just recently had new tires mounted and balanced, an alignment, back brakes and rotors (my son already replaced the front brakes), and a new cabin filter. The only thing I have left to do is to get the rack and pinion bushings replaced, and somehow get the exhaust back to being quiet.

To answer some questions from when I was away:

The tow mirrors have been great. However, they look old and outdated, and I've seen much better options on Amazon.

With the 33 x 12.50 x 20 tires, there was just a little rubbing on a sharp turn. That is until I removed those black plastic pieces that hung down (mudguards?).
