Mine should be finished by Friday afternoon. The tech that is doing the install had a family emergency pop up this morning. Friday is better anyways.

Welp....the lift is on.....sort of. Turns out that Pro Form Fab shackles are indeed misaligned and giving the tech fits. Both shackles are "off" a bit at the top of each one. Should have went with the Toytec shackles in hindsight. They are going to try to fix the shackles to be able to get the upper bolts through but that is not happening until Monday. Live and learn. Spacers are already torqued on, the Fat Bob Vated coilovers and Zone UCA setup looks quite decent actually.

Situation fixed. I remembered that the upper bolts would only go all the way through in a certain direction without damaging the threads. Weird but worked. HA! I walked down to the shop and showed the tech. Flipped the shackles around and the bolts went in easy! Everything bolted up. Tech already had the poly bushings in which is a plus. He said it was a bitch to get the pressed in OEM bushings out. Heh....heh. Alignment Monday morning and will be good to go:thumbsup:

Glad the Pro Form Fab shackles worked out after all. Very beefy like Toytec and CB shackles which don't suck at all. $50 + shipping. Crazy price point. 1.5" lift in back, 3" in front. Once my tunny was lowered I could see that there is a slight rake which is what I wanted. That's why I went with the 1.5"s. 3/1.5 lift. Stance looks quite decent with the 1.25" Rugged Ridge spacers. +28mm with the TRD rims. Pics on Monday!

We had my lift, and uppers done in 3.5 hours that included fogs, lows, and high led’s too.

    Alignment was about another hour

New truck vs 7 year old truck. Easier to deal with removing things with a clean new truck. You didn't have 7 years of ND crud in the way getting in your face. Diff and carrier bearing drops on. Takes time to lose the OEM bushings too. Not even apples and oranges comparison....

5-6? F**k!. Just one tech for me. He did good though. Didn't get started until around 1 o'clock yesterday and work till 5. Not sure when he started today. He did do a similar lift on a Taco recently. Experienced auto tech. Prolly his first tunny with what he had to get done which is fine. Better me than him doing the labor. I'm kuul with it. Good folks there. Betsy 2.0 has my vote:thumbsup:. Blaaaack!

    With myself included, yessir.

Tundras have much heavier torque specs too...takes more manpower for some of those.
One of their techs can get a full lift done in around 1.5 hours- picture perfect too.

The UCA torque specs are beyond me now. Weird angles just don't cut it anymore. Reaching down to pick up a pen that I just dropped sucks. I just grab another one from my desk. Sometimes. Reaching in to torque down a UCA ain't happening anymore. At 65.....I finally realized that some things need to be done by someone other than me. I'm doing too much as it is now. 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep is good. Heh...heh.

I really thought for awhile to not do this "thing" again with my 14 like I did with my 07 even though up until recently I had almost all the goodies to do it sitting around for over a year and just thinking to sell them, but lately I became determined to go ahead with my 14....again. Manny always says, "Grandpa, I liked your other truck." So....it....begins....again. Apparently I'm not done yet. Slider $ gone for now with the install expense plus a new spare tire. I realized my current spare Michelin is 7 years old and has developed some cracking issues. Great!

A 165, 180, or even 200 ft lbs torque is not a big deal but can be if in a hard to reach place, especially if you have to hold a 2nd wrench while torqueing.

No time to hit Toytec today. Venom is happy now. Lift came out great. 3/1.5. Still some rake which I was aiming for. Installed Rad Rubber splash guard kit. Thanks @ Toytec. I'm posting a pic of a kuul tool to remove old splash guard fasteners. I'm quite pleased. Plenty of tire clearance from uca's. The Zone uca's sit at near level. Perfect. No rubbing with the 275/70/18's. RC steps will go away once I save up for sliders. My slider $ was used for install. I'm showing off my modeling hand in the first pic. @Professional Hand Model

Not bad on the street. I tested it on some speed bumps and was quite satisfied. Won't know any more until the snow melts up where I go. Hopefully the spring melt off will happen soon. Most places are inaccessible for the time being.

Carrier bearing & diff drops were installed too. Coated each area with CRC 3-36. We buy it by the case at work...:spy:
I'm for using a diff drop when going up to 3" lift. A no brainer for me. Maintaining axle geometry is not a bad thing. Same with carrier bearing drop. Makes good sense. Not seeing any negatives about doing either. 20210329_160601.jpg 20210329_153730.jpg 20210329_160414.jpg
