Guess I’ll find out after November 1 and eventually have it fixed.

With all the supply issues and higher prices of things they could have made a part change or used a different supplier for that part. No telling but at least they are fixing it. I actually don't mind recalls. Shows the manufacturer is fixing things they messed up

Yep. I'm not losing any sleep over it. Will be one year with no issues with my Frontier on October 6. I'm getting my 2nd oil change tomorrow after work. I'll ask what's the latest info and prolly buy more Frontier swag......the Frontier is still better than the current Taco Gen. No regrets. I blast by Taco's when I get a chance. On purpose.....winning..ha!

Looks like it’s a part change for vehicles in the original recall and a software update for vehicles added to the second recall (like mine). Not too bad.

The stop sale was lifted on new inventory.

Yep. I went in for my 2nd oil change and 10K inspection at 9193 miles today. TCM reflash is scheduled for next Wednesday morning. That's all I need. BTW, there were 3 Pro4's. Two already sold and stop sale released to the owners. Third was test driven and sold while I was there. The buyer asked what I thought about my Frontier after driving it for almost a year now. The Pro4 he bought was fully loaded. Sticker was just under $48K.....no market adjustment either.....wow.... My SV was $36.6K or so with no markup.

Hopefully it’s quick, do it while you wait. I’ll have to call my dealer and get it scheduled.

BTW, my dealer uses bulk 0W-20 Mobil-1. I watched the tech from a short distance. Did good.. They washed my truck too!

The Tacoma has such a herd mentality following and "was" deservedly earned. Emphasis on "was". The Taco interior is so outdated. Example....this new Frontier interior is best in class as of now. Nothing cheap about it. Perfect? No. Nissan Zero Gravity seats.....best in class. Drivetrain and powertrain blows away the Taco although I wish Nissan hadn't dropped the manual transmission for 2022. If Nissan brought the manual back again I would actually consider making a change.

Called my dealer today and they’re clueless. They said the recall requires parts that they won’t have until November, even though my specific recall matches the official Nissan document listing the software update.

As soon as I showed my Service Manager a copy of the TSB he knew exactly what it was and said, "Let’s set up your appointment to get the TCM reflash done."

My Frontier is getting the TCM flash and the pawl fix now. Service manager ran the VIN again and mine came up for the pawl fix after all. Gave me an Altima loaner and will pick my truck after work. Easy peasy.......

It's just a pressure wash. They know better than to touch the paint or anything else except the glass.

I just picked up my truck and drove back to work. Up,down shifting seems to be crisper, smoother. That being said, my service advisor did say that the update has something to do with parking pawl position and a transmission shift mapping tweak from what he understands. He said Nissan has been somewhat vague and would let me know when he gets more info. He's a good guy and will let me know.

See post #226. It's a simple pressure wash. Nothing is touched except for the glass cleaning.......I watch them do it.

They don't.......they don't touch any sheet metal and do zero, nada, to the interior. A freakin quick and simple pressure wash. Let's not get carried away here.....ha

I should add my Glacier White is not single stage paint. I have to admit Nissan is better with their paint quality....

I will need a smaller truck soon when my son starts driving my old Nissan Pathfinder to go to school.
The new Frontier is up there on the list. Waiting to see the next gen Tacoma/4Runner first though.
It's good CBI adds aftermarket to Nissan trucks

It's weak pressure, very weak, actually no pressure. They drizzle tiny bits of water.......real tiny....

I had a black Tundra with paint that would scratch easily. I'd be freaked out too. My Frontier is white and doesn't scratch easily. Yes is it pressure washed and not wiped off at all. The windows get cleaned and and wiped off. I ACTUALLY see what they do. They know not to touch my truck except the glass. Nothing fancy. I don't care if they just pressure wash as they were told to do. They are not detailing LOL. Not sure why the concern. Black looks great when spiffed out. Thanks tho....

Nissan is know for having the same paint as Toyota, all asian vehicles for that matter. It's only the white that saves you from seeing the scratches and water spots.

True, but my Glacier White is not single stage paint like Yota's White. Big difference. In theory my Frontier won't be back at the dealer in 6 months for the next oil change. I use Adam's Graphene detail sealant. No water spots. No notable scratches at all. Rain runs right off. I aways pressure wash and then use the 2 bucket method when needed. It's hunting season so it's pointless to get carried away right now.
