    Awesome Video!!

    Question, did you have to cut the space between the emblem and the body or did you just pull the paint and hoped it didnt pull the paint from the emblem? Also, did you paint with a primer or scuff the emblems first? sorry if this question had already been answered.

    Thanks,

    Have you tried washing or buffing? does the pain wear off or does it chip easily?

    I used a new tooth pick just make sure when the tips get broken to us a new one. I just cleaned the chrome and dried it. The first 3 to 4 coats should be light after about 4 you can make them thicker. The dip sticks to the chrome but not the paint. Use the tooth pick to get between the letters. If you have any other question just let me know! Good luck and glad I can help a fellow Tundra brother.

    Yeah that is a good idea and i noted that in the video. Ever since i joined the forums ive been learning alot of cool customizations. One more question and i promise ill quit harassing you. After you apply the coats to the badges, let dry, peal off the excess and allot an adequate amount of time to cure will it chip? How easy does it come off and will mud or scrubbing take some of the paint off?
    Thanks again.

    It's pretty durable I noticed on the front of my first one on the sharp part a little showing through but no was going through a bunch of spinning car wash. Lazer wash have been great and hand washing. But it pills off super easy. I don't mind the questions at all

    This might be a good place to ask if adding a few coats of Plasti-dip glossifier help with and potential chips or scraping on the black outs, or can it work like a clear coat? Or does glosifier just make it shiny?

    Plastidip can chip, but is easier to repair.

    Glossifier = shiny

    Hey Travis, have you had any chipping on the grill? Rocks, scratches. How does it hold up?

    I ended up having all of my badges blacked out and love the way they look. Initially I wasn't going to add the side V8 badge b/c I was also concerned how it would look being that the letters were already in black but I think it looks cool and I'm glad I didn't leave it off. Badge.jpg

    Black iForce Badge on the TRD Pro (Inferno color). Just in case it helps show what the matte/satin finish looks like in contrast to the glossy paint.

    No pictures, but I went with black Plastidip on the Tundra, SR5 and 4X4 emblems and smoke color for the iForce emblem on my '14 metallic gray Tundra. The smoke Plastidip made the iForce emblem look like brushed aluminum and the lettering is still visible.
